Early the next day, at around 7 a.m., Jaylene got up, washed up, and quickly began picking up around the room.
"Jaylene, it's Saturday today and you're not going to work. Why are you getting up so early?" Alisha, who had returned late last night, asked without even opening her eyes.
"I'm moving back today," Jaylene replied with a wry smile, "Didn't I tell you the night before last when you moved in? My dad is going to be discharged from the hospital in a few days, and I can't let him live here, can I?"
"Oh, right," Alisha suddenly sat up from the bed, yawned, and rubbed her eyes, "I went to several company interviews yesterday and had a reunion with classmates I haven't seen for years, so I forgot this."
"You can sleep more, I don't have much stuff, and you don't have much luggage either. I'll pack everything up quickly by myself, and then I'll call a van to move us back directly."
