"I don't know!" She earnestly denied with a serious face, only to be met by Joseph Thompson's inscrutable smile.
"What's so funny?" Jaylene irritably glared at him: "Am I that amusing to you?"
Joseph lowered his gaze, reaching out to tuck a strand of hair that had fallen on her forehead: "You're not that funny, just — extremely good-looking."
Upon hearing that, Jaylene also laughed, her mouth twisting into a sarcastic sneer: "Good-looking? Can you even say I'm as good-looking as your Princess Aurora?"
"You're better-looking than her." He said, looking absolutely serious.
"Hahaha." A mocking laugh escaped Jaylene's lips, her face plastered with irony: "I can clearly see if I am better-looking or not, and it's not like I don't have my own eyes."
"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder," He softly recited half of a poem with a knowing smile, "I'm sure you've heard that saying."
