"Really?" Joshua Campbell's brow was furrowed.
Jaylene Ziel stared at the newspaper, wishing she could tear apart the face that resembled her own. Clenching the paper with her nails and pressing her lips tightly, her expression showed strength after being wounded.
"Perhaps we are overthinking their relationship," This statement, even Jaylene herself found it to be a self-deception.
"I hope so, otherwise I'm not done with Joseph Thompson," Joshua Campbell said, looking ready to defend justice.
"Allen Spencer, don't be impulsive," Aurora Richardson hurriedly advised: "Joseph was furious last time in Liberty. I don't want to... do anything that would make him angry again."
When Aurora reminded him, Joshua Campbell recalled the incident before the year when they framed Jaylene Ziel, and they hadn't even caught hold of Jaylene's shadow that time.
