"Mrs. Richardson, what are you doing in my father's ward?" Jaylene pulled Giana Watson out of the ward and asked her emotionally.
"I... I heard he had an accident, so I came to see him." Giana explained stutteringly, clearly trying to avoid Jaylene's gaze.
"Come to see him? Are you close to my dad?" Jaylene scoffed at Giana's words.
"I'm not close to your dad, but... aren't I acquainted with you?" Giana quickly found an excuse.
"It seems that I have even less connection with you." Jaylene snorted, "If I remember correctly, when my mother was alive, you fainted her more than once."
Talking about her mother made Jaylene very upset. Her mother raised her all by herself since childhood; Jaylene finally grew up but never had the chance to be filial to her mother, who died in a car accident.
"Jaylene, do you know why your mom fainted?" Giana hurriedly asked, "Actually, she felt guilty."
