On the way home, Joseph Thompson didn't say a word, and the atmosphere in the car felt extraordinarily heavy.
Jaylene sat in the passenger seat, lost in her thoughts. She sensed that something was a bit off about Joseph after he was summoned by his grandmother from the Thompson Family. So she decided to confront him about it.
"Um, Joseph, does your grandmother dislike me?"
Joseph turned to look at her, then replied lightly, "It's not that she dislikes you. I just didn't explain your relationship with Alexander Preston to her clearly before, which made her somewhat unhappy. But the anger was mainly directed at me."
The anger was mainly directed at him? Jaylene laughed a bit cynically. Did he think she was a fool?
"Should we hold our wedding during the May 1st holiday?" Joseph tentatively suggested.
"Didn't we agree to postpone the wedding?" Jaylene turned to look at him and said softly, "Let's stick to the original plan. We'll postpone the wedding until the end of the year."
