"I haven't seen you driving lately," Ricky Lewis looked at Jaylene with a faint frown, "What's going on? Where's your car?"
"I sold the car," Jaylene smiled, "I'm about to study abroad. My parents can't drive, so the car would be useless if left."
"Oh, I see," Ricky agreed, "Let's go out for dinner tonight then. I'm going back to my hometown for the New Year, and I won't be able to see everyone in the Ziel family until after the New Year."
"No, I can't. I'm going to an English speaking course after work every day now. I'm about to go to the UK, and I'm worried that my spoken English won't be good enough when I get there, so I've enrolled in this speaking training course."
"All right then," Ricky nodded, not insisting anymore, "I will be leaving tomorrow. I have been overseas for a few years now, and this year I just managed to come back. I need to visit, then I have to go to Washington and New York, a few friends are there."
