"You should rest early." Joseph Thompson glanced at her before leaving, closing the door for her in a gentlemanly manner.
Jaylene sighed, turned around and walked inside. The guest room only had a small light on and it was somewhat dark. She walked over to turn on the wall lamp on the bedside table.
Despite it being just a guest room, the arrangement wasn't bad, with a wardrobe, dressing table, and all necessary items present.
The bed was empty. When she opened the wardrobe, she was surprised to find that it was also empty, without even a bed sheet, let alone a full set of bedding.
Only then did she remember Joseph's words that they had just moved in yesterday.
Perhaps they had moved in in a hurry, and Filbert Schmidt, who was helping him with the purchases, didn't think too much about it, probably only buying bedding for the master bedroom.
If it were summer, she wouldn't need to find Joseph, but unfortunately, it was winter.
