Before Romney could even speak, Joseph interrupted, "Romney, stay here. I'll take Jaylene out to dinner first. We'll deal with Ricky's situation after dinner."
Having said that, Joseph once again pulled Jaylene's hand towards the door.
"I don't want to go out with you," Jaylene insisted at the doorway.
"It's just a meal," Joseph said with a furrowed brow, looking at her. "You don't want to starve yourself and get stomach disease. It's very uncomfortable, and you don't have to do that to yourself."
"I'm not hungry anymore..." Before Jaylene could finish her sentence, her stomach growled again uncooperatively, her face turning red instantly.
"Well, I'm just not going to eat with you," Jaylene said petulantly, glaring at Joseph. "We're already divorced, and if people see us again, they'll say..."
Before she could finish, Joseph took out a pair of sunglasses and handed them to her along with a cartoon-patterned mask. "Put these on, and no one will recognize you."
