Finally, it was time to get off work. Jaylene lingered in the office for almost ten minutes, waiting until everyone else in the Design Department had left before packing up her office desk and getting ready to go downstairs.
As soon as she stepped out of the office, Director Ricky Lewis came over and said, "Don't go through the main entrance, there are many reporters out there, and they're probably all waiting for you."
"What should I do then?" Jaylene felt anxious, "I didn't drive here today."
"Just go downstairs, and I'll drive you," Ricky Lewis immediately suggested, "I'm not a celebrity, so my car isn't being watched by reporters."
"Thank you!" Jaylene cast a grateful glance at Ricky Lewis instantly.
"What's there to be polite about? I just don't want my company's outstanding designer to be pressured to not come to work tomorrow," Ricky Lewis replied with a smile, leading her to the executive-only elevator nearby.
