Mrs. Richardson's face turned red and white in an instant, while Jaylene continued, "Mrs. Richardson, please tell your daughter to take care of her health as she has a high fever and is unconscious. I cannot accept your unreasonable request just because of her condition. So, Mrs. Richardson, take your money back and buy some tonics for your daughter's health."
After Jaylene finished speaking, she took out her wallet, pulled out a hundred-dollar bill, and placed it on the dining table. Then she picked up the bouquet of carnations she had ordered earlier and turned to walk towards the door.
She thought the flowers were so beautiful that she might as well take them home and put them in a vase. Carnations symbolize the hope of a speedy recovery, and she could wish for her own health to improve as well.
When Mrs. Richardson saw Jaylene was about to leave, she rushed out of the reserved seat and caught Jaylene's wrist in the aisle right next to the table.
