Jaylene steadied herself and turned around, only to find that the familiar face behind her was her boss, Ricky Lewis.
"Let uncle hold you." Ricky Lewis reached out to the child in her arms. "Auntie is a bit weak. She could drop you, baby. Let uncle take you to eat something."
The child was young and hungry. Hearing that there was food, he eagerly leaned towards Ricky Lewis, who smoothly took the little one into his arms.
Jaylene stood there, watching Ricky Lewis, who successfully cheered up the child with a lollipop. She was taken aback.
The sun was setting. Wearing a violet shirt, Ricky Lewis's face was bathed in a warm smile. The residual glow of the sunset made it seem like his face was glazed. He appeared even more gentle and kind.
"Surprised?" Ricky Lewis asked, smiling at her.
Jaylene nodded honestly, a little surprised. She hadn't expected to see Ricky Lewis at Joseph Thompson's aunt's house.
