Jaylene laughed at that: "Aren't you people from the sea all about going Dutch? I'm just preparing to keep up with international standards."
"No need for that," Ricky Lewis quickly replied with a smile, "This is not the sea, it's land, and people on land value face. After coming back from my trip in the sea, I still need to adapt to local customs, and I can't lose face."
Ricky paid the bill, and the two of them left the authentic Spanish cuisine restaurant together.
The car was parked at the entrance of the wide and narrow alley. Ricky, being a gentleman, helped Jaylene open the passenger car door and invited her to get in. Jaylene couldn't help but joke, "The seaweed gentleman service is really top-notch."
Ricky laughed, got in the car on the other side, and drove onto the main road before turning to ask her, "Are you rushing back home?"
"Not rushing," Jaylene shook her head, "I've already had dinner, and if I go back, I'd just be going to sleep. There's nothing else to do."
