By the time Jaylene arrived back at her building after sending Olaf York away, it was already past nine o'clock at night.
She thought that she would be alone at home tonight, and probably Joseph would never return to this apartment again because the "child" in her belly had been aborted.
However, to her surprise, she had just arrived at the door and hadn't taken out her keys when the door opened from the inside and Joseph was there, looking at her with a dark face.
"Uh..." Jaylene hesitated for a moment before reacting: "Are you home?"
"If I'm not home, where would I be?" Joseph replied coldly, "Do you think I'm like you, coming home late at night?"
What the hell, who came home late at night? Isn't it just past nine o'clock at night? There's still a large group of people enjoying the cool breeze in the garden downstairs, right?
In the summer nights of Bay City, midnight isn't considered late. Does he not understand that?
