Jaylene turned her head as the ward door was pushed open, and Joseph Thompson walked in carrying a shopping bag of nutrition products.
"Why are you all here?"
Randy Ziel glared at his wife, "What's the big deal? Isn't it just a heat-induced faint? Is it worth you calling everyone about it?"
Nancy Scott's face reddened, just as she was about to retort, Joseph spoke first.
"Dad, you're the one to talk. Mum didn't even call me. If it weren't for Jaylene telling me, I wouldn't have known you fainted." Joseph handed the gift bag to Jaylene as he spoke.
It was only then that Randy realized he had wrongly blamed his wife, but he still insisted, "Your mother is making a fuss out of nothing. It's just heatstroke from the Summer heat. Drinking some Diazepam would have been enough, but she insisted on taking me to the hospital for an IV drip. She must be out of places to spend her money."
