Chris nodded, then climbed down from the bed and walked over to her.
"Chris, you can't be so playful, your dad and mom will worry about you. Would it be okay if auntie took you back?" Charlotte Green crouched down and coaxed him gently.
Chris shook his head and reached out to be held.
Wester Welson, who was watching from the side, was nearly popping his eyeballs in astonishment. This little devil could actually act spoiled!
"Then tell me, how did you end up here?" Charlotte held the child in her arms and asked softly, then cast a suspicious glance at Kevin Cliff.
"I came in Uncle's car." Chris pointed towards Kevin, "I hid in the backseat of his car, and he didn't notice."
Now Charlotte understood that she had misunderstood, and glanced at Kevin Cliff somewhat embarrassingly.
"His parents aren't in the States, they're typical 'fly-in fly-out' workers, always on the move. He's raised by the housekeeper," the man on the bed spoke coldly.
