Charlotte Green's face turned slightly red. She really liked the atmosphere but hated how these people made such assumptions about them.
"Isn't the boss going to introduce us?" the middle-aged man asked as he handed Kevin Cliff a bunch of cilantro with a smile.
"Why don't you just ask her yourself?" Kevin Cliff tossed the question to Charlotte and then went back to preparing the food.
The middle-aged man simply smiled and didn't press her.
"If you don't want to stay here, you can go sit outside for a while," Kevin said.
Charlotte immediately shook her head, "I'm good right here."
Kevin saw her unease and thought that this was the real her in front of him, not pretending to be strong, not the usual cold and powerful businesswoman, but just a tiny woman relying on him.
