"She is... of course she's here! Fine, just wait then!" Mrs. Turner, seemingly too tired to argue further, turned around and stormed back into the house huffing with anger.
Mr. Turner, who had been anxiously waiting in the Grand Hall, quickly approached her upon her return and asked, "How did it go?"
"Oh dear, help me a bit," Mrs. Turner reached out, seeking support.
Mr. Turner hurriedly steadied her, "Did that young man lay a hand on you?"
"No, my legs just went weak, but it's almost the same thing," Mrs. Turner waved her hand dismissively, walked over to the sofa, poured herself a cup of water, and drank, "He actually threatened me, saying that if he doesn't see Charlotte by tomorrow, he'll level our house to the ground!
