"Charlotte, I know exactly what I'm doing, and nothing is more important than you and the child," Gavin Turner said with a gentle smile. "Sit tight!"
The car sped along the mountain road into Star Garden, and Gavin floored the accelerator to catch up.
Charlotte Green hurriedly rolled down the window. Abigail Summer had bodyguards, hopefully one of them would recognize her; they probably wouldn't go to the extreme of shooting at them.
Sure enough, the bodyguards following Abigail Summer drew their guns and aimed at them, but as the window rolled down and they saw Charlotte Green, they all put their weapons away.
Screech!
Gavin Turner performed a high-speed drift and stopped sideways in front of the car Abigail Summer was in, forcing the other driver to brake urgently.
"Driver, what are you doing? You almost hit the child!" The sudden braking startled both Abigail Summer and the child.
"Miss Summer, someone is stopping us," said the driver.
