"Why did you buy so much stuff? I don't need any of it here. Next time you don't know what to buy, just don't," Charlotte Green said with a smile as she walked over, uncertain if there would be a next time.
"I just wanted to see what a super strong baby looks like," Sophia Young retorted stubbornly.
Charlotte Green didn't press her for the reason behind her friendly visit, just smiled and looked tenderly at her son, who was lying quietly in his crib.
"Do you want to hold him?" she asked Sophia Young.
Sophia Young immediately waved her hands, her face full of panic, "No, no, no!"
Such a small and tender child in her hands would be ruined; she couldn't destroy someone else's baby.
Charlotte Green laughed at her expression and gently picked up the baby, "Come on, give it a try."
Sophia Young shook her head vigorously and stepped back as if the baby were a monster. Actually, he was a little monster, one she respected from a distance.
