"Whether times are good or bad depends on whether Dr. Turner understands the way people should behave," Zeal Cliff said with a smile that didn't reach his eyes.
It was a threat, and it carried even more force than James Cliff's impulsive ones.
"I seem to grasp the way people should behave, but not quite. I'm done here. Enjoy your meal slowly, I'll be on my way," Gavin Turner put down his utensils, wiped his mouth and hands methodically, and rose elegantly from his seat.
Charles Cliff and James Cliff immediately stepped forward to block his way, "Dr. Turner, it seems you need us to teach you the way people should behave."
Gavin Turner feigned realization, "Oh, I almost forgot, breakfast isn't free!"
The corners of Charles and James Cliff's mouths twitched, "Who's asking you for breakfast money! Tell us! What did you give to Kevin Cliff at the bar last night!"
