"Charlotte, you saw it," Mrs. Turner observed her reaction and approached her.
"How could it be blue?" Charlotte Green stared blankly, unable to find an answer.
"Charlotte, I heard Gavin mention that you two once... you know what I mean?" Mrs. Turner wanted to know what she was thinking.

Charlotte retorted vehemently, her loud voice startled the baby in her arms, leaving her feeling both guilty and helpless.
