"Crying? I should be the one crying, right? My good daughter-in-law and grandson have become someone else's!" Mrs. Turner remained haughty, yet her hands gently patted her shoulders, as if consoling her own child.
"As long as you are willing, you can be the child's grandma!" Charlotte Green said, taking the tissues Gavin Turner handed to her and wiping her tears.
Mrs. Turner glanced at her son and scoffed, "Hmph... how can there be a grandma without a daughter-in-law?"
"Mom!" Gavin grew anxious, fearing that Charlotte Green would feel awkward and under more pressure.
He never wanted his feelings to be a burden to her.
"An honorary grandma, then!" Charlotte Green said with a smile.
"Humph! An honorary grandma is never as good as a real one!" Mrs. Turner ignored her son's plea and turned to the kitchen, "I'm going to cook!"
