"...Him!"
Charlotte Green's weak hand pointed firmly at the heartless Kevin Cliff, then she closed her eyes, refusing to look at him again.
Given the patient's condition, the doctor had no choice but to comply and quickly transferred Charlotte to the ward for her to rest properly.
Kevin Cliff stood outside the ward, watching her for a long time before he turned and left in sorrow.
"Charlotte, he's gone," Gavin Turner softly told the figure on the bed with eyes firmly shut.
Charlotte slowly opened her wan eyes and gently placed her hand on her lower abdomen, as silent tears streamed down her face.
Seeing this, Gavin gripped her icy hand with heartache, "Charlotte, don't be too sad. You can have another child in the future. Promise me you'll take good care of yourself, okay?"
Charlotte Green was disconsolate, merely shedding silent tears.
"I won't let those people get away with this!" Gavin Turner said bitterly.
