After she finished speaking, she immediately hung up.
She had meant to dial Gavin Turner's number, or at least anyone's number, just not his! She no longer had the right to contact him, let alone seek his help.
"Who were you calling!" Jay Green snatched her phone in an instant, and by that time, she had already correctly dialed Gavin Turner's number.
"Trying to call for help?" Jay Green forcefully pressed the end call button, glaring at her viciously, and then pointed at her stomach, "I've given you such a strong dose of medicine, it's not possible that there's still no reaction. Tell me! What did you do!"
"Poison? No!" Charlotte Green quickly turned and ran towards the restroom, trying desperately to induce vomiting of the substance she had just ingested.
Following her, Jay Green, upon seeing this, calmed down and returned to the living room to wait, assuming the drug hadn't taken effect yet.
