Abigail Summer nodded readily, putting down her chopsticks and clumsily peeling with both hands. After finishing one prawn, her hands were greasy. Kevin Cliff smiled dotingly and peeled some more for her before placing them in her bowl.
Abigail's eyes shone with gratitude as she ate and spoke, "Brother Kevin, you're the best!"
Kevin Cliff was jolted, "Little Abigail, do you know you used to say this to me all the time when you were little?"
"That just shows how great Brother Kevin really is, right? Charlotte, don't you think?" Abigail asked Charlotte Green, who had been silent, trying to cheer her up. But, unbeknownst to Abigail, Charlotte Green's heart was bleeding and breaking.
