"Come out for dinner!" A deep and authoritative voice came from outside the door.
Charlotte Green had dawdled in Kevin's Resting Room for a long time before she finally had no choice but to open the door and go out.
She first stuck her head out to see if there was anyone else around, but she realized she had thought too much—on the coffee table over there was only Kevin Cliff by himself, already neatly dressed. The air had been purified, leaving only the tantalizing smell of the meal.
It was clearly the fare of a fine restaurant, each dish crafted to delight the eye and whet the appetite, with even the earthenware bowls and silver chopsticks provided for delivery.
"Just got full by looking?" He handed her the chopsticks.
Charlotte's face flushed, she immediately shook her head, snatched the chopsticks, and sat next to him to eat without looking up.
The smile in Kevin's eyes deepened as he ate at a leisurely pace.
