Chapter 7 - Frustrated

Aaron empathizes with Jodie, after he learns of her current life.

"Mikho, help you pay off Jodie's rent money. If you can, pay off the contract for the next two years."

"Are you not wrong Sir?" Mikho was surprised to hear the order from his boss.

"What's wrong with the good I want to do for her?"

"You're not usually like this. Don't you want to have sex with that woman anymore?"

"Why is it that every time I say something about Jodie, you always ask me back?"

"Mom-that's not what I meant. I'm just wondering about you sir. Because she's a woman that you only rent for one night and now she's pregnant. The woman's confession is that the baby she is carrying is not your child. But, why do you still care about him?"

"I haven't done anything good to anyone in a long time. Perhaps, this is a call from God so that I can better empathize with the people I once knew." The answer is, it's just an excuse. In fact, he began to care and could not stop thinking about Jodie.

"If that is the case, then I will obey your orders."

"But, please keep this a secret from Jodie. Don't let Jodie know I paid the rent."

"Yes, sir."

"One more. Help you find out where Jodie used to check her womb. Because I thought, she will not have the costs to give birth later."

"So, you also want to help with the cost of giving birth to that woman as well?"

"Yes. Why? Wrong?"

"No-no, sir. You're not wrong."Micho was amazed at Aaron's kindness towards Jodie.

"OH, SHIT!! AAAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!"

Somewhere else. Ainsley, who had just arrived at her home after traveling far enough, immediately shouted loudly while slamming her heels to the floor.

Ann, who was cooking, went straight to her daughter as soon as she heard Ainsley's screaming.

"What is it Ainsley? Why are you screaming hysterically like that?"Asked Ann with a worried look on her face.

"The woman. Jodie, mom! Jodie!"

"What happened to Jodie? Why are you angry like this?"

"How can I not be angry? Apparently, the baby Jodie is carrying. The Twins are Aaron's, my boss's. The man who had been trying to conquer me, it turns out even planted a seed in Jodie's womb. Fuck!!!"

"W-what did you say?"

"The man who bought Jodie that night was not the old man we saw, but Aaron. And the old man was just an intermediary for Aaron to hire."

"But, didn't you say that your boss was never interested in women? Hence, you find it difficult to conquer it until now."

"I had put a stimulant drug in his drink at that time. I thought, I can trap her by pretending to have been fucked by her. But instead of setting him up with my plan, what I found was that I lost Aaron after I got back from the toilet. I was so lucky to be caught in my own trap. To make matters worse, Jodie is pregnant with the boy I've been looking for. AAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!" Ainsley is really frustrated with the harsh reality of what she has done.

"Calm Down, Ainsley. You need to calm down."Ann said, trying to calm her daughter's anger while rubbing her back.

"How can I calm down, mom? I've been looking for Aaron since I was his secretary. I should have been carrying Aaron's child, not Jodie's!"

"If you keep getting angry like this, you won't get a solution. There are other things you can do to help Aaron."

"Another way?" Instantly Ainsley's emotions subsided for a moment as soon as her mother said that. His brain was immediately running fast to think of another way so that he could reach Aaron's heart quickly, after the fatal failure he had done.

"Should I do anything worse than this to Jodie?"He asked, glancing at his mother.

Ann raised her hands and shoulders. Sign him up to give up whatever Ann wants to do to Jodie later.

Jodie's misfortune did not come Enough with the pregnancy that she kept a tight lid on the biological father of the twins she had in her womb. That afternoon, Jodie gets a call from Aleda telling her to come to work immediately. Jodie immediately came to her workplace and immediately met her boss, in accordance with the directions that Aleda told her through a message on her cell phone.

When he arrived at his superior's room, a white envelope was presented to him by Mrs. Viska.

"Sorry Jodie, it's with a heavy heart that I have to give this to you."

"What is this, ma'am?" Jodie reached for the white envelope hesitantly.

"This is your salary for this month, as well as your last salary. Because from tomorrow, I can no longer hire you here, as per the boss's order. You take too many days off and that hampers your performance a lot. Especially with your pregnancy which is quite vulnerable. So, it's good for you to rest completely to keep your pregnancy healthy."

"But, I need this job. I need money for the cost of giving birth later."

"Sorry, Jodie. I understand your condition. If I were the boss here, I would have kept you."

Jodie couldn't beg her boss anymore so she could stay employed at the place. He realized the shortcomings of asking for permission too much during work even though he was still a new employee.

"Yes, ma'am. I will accept this money. Thank you for your help so far who has been willing to allow me in every time I ask permission while working."

"Yes, Jodie. Take good care of yourself, and your body too. I hope you have a good birth later."

"Yes, ma'am."

Jodie left her workplace, leaving her rented house that same day. For Jodie, she no longer had any hope of lingering in the rented house, especially since she did not have the money to pay the rent. Without Jodie knowing, Aaron has actually paid off his contract money for the next year.

Not long after Jodie left her rented house, Aaron came back to Jodie. How he was so upset with himself that he could not forget Jodie even for a second. Jodie's shadow filled her head to the point that there was no more room for her to think other than just thinking about the woman and the baby in Jodie's womb.

Cklek, cklek...

Many times Aaron tried to open the door of the rented house. Knock, say hello, and peek into the crack of the window of the House. There was no sign of Jodie either. Until finally someone came up to Aaron and said something about Jodie.

"Jodie was gone a few hours ago."

"Go where?"

"I don't know. He didn't say it."

"Jodie's not coming back, you mean?"

"Yes. He will never return to this house again."

Aleda herself is sad to have to part with Jodie in this way. But, he also can't prevent Jodie's departure, because he can't help Jodie much in anything that Jodie needs right now, especially financially.
