*THUD* Vol startled as his surrounding suddenly changed drastically. He was currently sat at a desk in classroom full of bosteirous students, some of them with hair color as odd as himself.
Not a full second had passed since he took note of where he was that a plethora of information directly, and somehow smoothly came into his mind. Along with quite a few notifications.

Vol felt dizzy from the amount of quests, and he almost thought he was hallucinating with the second and third trials. He had with girls before in his life out of fear of proving his parent's words to be true. However, right now, he couldn't bring himself to care as he quickly picked up crucial clues from his quests as to his circumstances.
A classroom, people with weird hair, zombie appocalypse...
He furtively casted his gazesaround the class, and sure enough, he could recognize someone with pink hair, and another one with orange hair, though their fave were blurry. His eyesight seemed to have returned back to the same old shit/10 it was before dying. And no, glasses had never worked for him.
"I'm in high school of the dead..." He mumbled as he unsteadily came to his feet and felt his ways out of class, and just as he did a person he identified as his teacher entered it.
"Vol-Kun?" The man seemed surprised. "Classes are about to begin, where are you going now?"
"Ah, sorry, I just need some fresh air. I'm not feeling well." Vol smiled wrily and sidestepped the man, going into the hallway without waiting for an answer. Idly, he felt a gaze trailing his back as he did so. And he felt it wasn't the teacher.

Trial of Estria: Make a maiden fall in love 1/1 completed! + Scroll of world authority, + 5 stats]
He was confused enough already, but now he was completely floored. He needed some context for that one.
Going a bit further from the class, he leaned against a wall and searched the flood of memory he had received earlier and after a short review, he indeed found the answer.
Apparently, he had an already pre-made identity for his presence in the world. Physical and personality wise, he was the same. But in this world he had lived to 17 years old and not died by a mysterious flying truck-kun at 15. He was also an orphan left at the door of a japanese orphanage when he was a baby. As such, he hadn't been... Wasting his potential as much because of poverty since he had quickly proved himself by excelling in his studies, which earned him a entirely paid scholarship right by the beginning of middle school and by not having shit parents.
Seriously, he loved this life way more than his real one. Who designed pre-made identity anyway? Could gods have an hands in them? Because if they could, he would think it was another way for them to punish him for his impertinence? by giving him such a life in a world doomed to fall.
Fortunately, or unfortunately depending on the angle. He had a sort of detachment toward that life, even if he had memories of living them.
And by reviewing those memories, he got a good idea of who might have fallen in love with him.
But that wasn't important, time was ticking. And he had to assign stats.
For the first time, he mentally enunciated status.
[
Status of: Player#3145
Layer: 1st
Class: N/A
Patron: N/A
Bloodline:N/A
Trait: {Kaleidoscopic lightning}
AS POINTS: 0
ATTRIBUTES—
Strength: 2
Agility: 3
Endurance:1
Spirit:11
Mystic: 14
Unassigned points: 5
SKILLS—
N/A]
First thing first, he racked up his mind to find what he was supposed to do with it all. He remembered quickly. He was supposed to identify the shit of every terms. Though some things he guessed were self-explanatory.
Mentally clicking upon the first stats, strength. He was met by the most cliche description of the attribute possible. Which was that the stat determined how much physical force could be exercised from the body. Following up, agility determined speed, dexterity, reflexes and coordination. Endurance determined your health, thoughness and immune system, it also somehow seemed to have some influence on charisma. After that things became interesting.
Spirit covered everything from intelligence to willpower, but not wisdom. It determined the speed of your thoughts, your magic resistance, your mana pool, and your fine control over it. And well, mystic... mystic covered how in tune with magic you were. It made your mana stronger, drop for drop. And also made your magic pack more of a punch basically. Oh, it gave you more charisma too.
From what he understood, it was a double dips, simple as that. Which made the stat just absurdly good, spirit was pretty good too.
The physical stats he could understand. But the 'mental' ones were downright bizarre. So he asked the system if there was a reason for that.
[Sometimes individuals got characteristics unique to them, often due to the presence of traits. These characteristics can englobe one or more statistics or have an unique effect by themselves. It's the case for player Vol's mystic stat, as your eyes amplify your basic mana affinity when growing stronger. As for the spirit stat, it is not so unique as it is present in individual whose willpower and intelligence goes hand in hand, yet remain adaptable.]
"I see. Speaking of eyes..." He focused on his unique trait in his status, [Kaleidoscopic lightning] curious as to what the system had to say about it.
[Kaleidoscopic lightning: Through light, there is life, through life, there is sight to witness that light. Energy is power, and radiation is but another form of energy. Through your eyes, you can wield a magic that fusion lightning, light and radiation by giving taking upon the characteristics of the full spectrum of light. Furthermore, you have an innate comprehension of how to unleash it.
Awaken the trait? Yes/No
Note: Unawakened traits can sometimes have side effects on their host.]
He quirked up an eyebrow. So his eyes were the reason he was so weird? Like they were why he could predict lightning, storms and shit? As well as why he was weak as hell and blind as a mole?.. Okay maybe not the first one... He was probably just sickly.
Couldn't say he was disappointed, seemed like a good deal if they were, as he guessed, the true reason he even had a second shot at living.
Another part of his mind whispered that, in the same logic, they could be the cause of his premature death to truck. But even it it was true, he felt only a pang of anger about it. His life had been shitty, that simple. And it appeared even more so when put against the memories of his life in this world.
"Do it."
As he gave the confirmation, he wouldn't say he was unprepared for the sudden piercing pain that stabbed at his brain and dor some reason, his chest. But he might have briefly fallen to his knees in unpreparedness.
Clenching his eyes tightly shut from the burning sensation that somehow decided to visit him too. He could do nothing else but wait for it all to pass.
And came to pass it did, a few seconds later, Vol opened his eyes to a new crystal clear world with vibrant colors and the sight of a boy rushing past him in a panicked but resolved hurry.
Following the guy with his gaze until he entered his classroom. Vol blinked and slowly stood up.
Opening his status, he dumped his five stats point into spirit. Then he scrolled through it and quickly read the description of everything else present in it even if their names were self-explanatory.

Main quest 4: Familiarize yourself with the system and its basic uses completed! + 5 stat points, + skill identify]
"At least I'm given some freebies here." He sighed in relief as he put the other 5 points into spirits, feeling as if he had inhaled a redballs and had a soft feather carressing his heart for a single second as he did. After his stunt with his trait and now that, he was pretty sure that this feeling was his mana.
Coming back to why he was glad to get some stats right from the beginning. He didn't even have to wonder why the apocalypse of this world had been enhanced. It was supposed to be both a tutorial and a trial to see if he was worthy of four initial patrons, at least that's what he thoughts was happening here. And if he could blast every zombies to oblivion with lightning, it wouldn't be very challenging. Nor entertaining for whoever else other than his patrons might be watching him.
Though that arose the question of if Estria knew she'd be giving him a freebie with her supposed trial.
*SMACK*
Brought out of his thoughts by a loud smacking sound coming from the classroom. Vol smiled wrily and shook his head, he had to stop doing that. It wasn't the right time to think.
So, opening his hand. He retraced the feeling of lightness from his chest and 'tugged' at it mentally, picturing dragging it along his right arm and out of his index finger.
His pupils shrank to pinprick as his eyes tingled once and a spark jumped out of his finger and just hovered there, twisting and crackling, but not dissipating. It was weak white blue color like static would be.
21 Spirit stat indeed, with stats standing at around 5 for the average healthy adult man and a bit lower for mental stats. It wasn't that surprising he could kickstart magic learning easily.
A grin creeping along his face, it vanished as three people, two boys and one girl rushed out of the classroom and went the other ways of of where he was.
Thinking for a bit, he ought that following them might be as good a plan as any to going forward. But a new notification along with a far off shriek of fear made him revise his plans.

Turning away from where Takashi and his group had gone and toward where chaos seemed to erupt. He took a couple of slow, hesitant steps before his gait quickened and eventually turned into a run.
Despite the resignation in his eyes, the small uplift of his lips was unmistakable.
He didn't know for sure what awaited him up ahead, like yeah, he had some guesses. But nothing concrete. However, if there was to be a thing he was sure of.
It was that he'd better learn fast.
