He found himself somewhat impatient; the path he was on now felt right, finally feeling as though he was truly set on the journey he was meant to be on. After a couple hours had passed, with the carriage leaving the bounds of Merdlum and entering the lush region of green fields and colossal mountains, Cynthia had already fallen asleep.
"Fffuuu…" Cynthia quietly snored.
He smiled, using his hand to brush the curtain aside from the curtain to peek outside. They were far removed from civilization now, surrounded only by looming mountains, luscious pastures, and a calm river.
After a while, the carriage came to a stop near the freshly-flowing river, which came to a surprise to him as there was still some daylight left.
From upfront, the carriage driver called out, "Stretch your legs! I'm going to load up on some water and make sure Beckett here is all good!"
