He slowly stepped forward, just a stride behind his comrade. What awaited was an arena, forged of steel that looked beyond the mortal realm; the sable surface of the metallic material held a complexion like that of the cosmos, bearing minuscule, but plentiful dots of compressed stars.
As soon as he stopped once entering the mysterious room, the jarring sound of heavy, solid objects being closed met his ears. The doors had closed on their own, cementing the nebulous battleground as his place to be.
"Have you done this before?" Jett quietly asked, squeezing his fists in an attempt to warm his body up for the upcoming encounter.
Scraping his boots against the ground anxiously, the smooth, metal surface hardly helped to ease his nerves.
Vex performed stretches leisurely, squatting up and down before hopping back up to his feet with unrestrained vigor, "Yup. Listen, stop worrying so much–you've got this."
