Chapter 30 - Chp. 30 History of the Island (2)

The ancient civilization were ruled by two sides, those of the Royal Family of Tagu and that of the High Shaman, the Atu. For many days Paul was enamored at the History of the Tagu and Atu people.

The Royal Family was conservative and wanted the best for their people, while the High Shaman was fanatic and felt the Kongs were slaves given to them by their gods to serve them.

For generations the two side were in silent conflict in beliefs until one day, the island rumbled and spewed fire within its mouth. The Royal family saw this as a sign of danger along with the High Shaman but both had different views.

The King wanted to evacuated their people in large boats that could even hold the Kongs inside and sail for other Islands. While the Shaman wanted something else, Paul was engrossed at the story that he found respect to whoever the Storyteller was. A person even respected by both sides as he writes the history of their people with great objectivity.

Paul spent more hours reading that he did not realize that his program had cracked the language already and translated all the other text found in the Amphoras.

Paul read that the High Shaman had suggested to give the gods appeasement by having his daughter be married to the prince. But one thing seemed to trouble the prince, he was already married to a great Kong trainer of the Tagu, who was also the cousin of the Storyteller.

"Typical religious leaders, I'm sure he does not believe the gods he spews in his mouth." Paul said in his breath as he read the events that transpired.

The King forced his son to marry the daughter of the Shaman but after the ceremony the Island itself still erupted in fire and stone. Three large ships had been filled with supplies for all of the people but some tribe members had noticed the actions of the soldiers.

Thus before even the ceremony they sailed in fear not knowing that the winds will take their boats somewhere even their great Kongs will have trouble. This was witnessed by the former wife of the prince, who had tried to sail to get more food and resource for the tribes.

But what greeted her was an Island full of devils(dinosaurs) that if not for their Kong then they would have all perished there. Sailing back with a heavy heart, she wanted to warn others of the terrors that lie in the island as only a third of their company had survived and some Kongs even died.

But all she got was betrayal and watched as the man she loved marry another in the eyes of many in their tribe. But even in despair she tried to warn them but chaos ensued as many Kongs in the command of the Atu rampaged in fear of the Island's wake.

Here the Storyteller speaks of how the two sides bred Kongs to fight in coliseums and how they differed in ways of raising the beast. The former wife of the prince raised her Kongs in care thus gained respect from them in return while the Atu raised theirs with fear and stimulation using herbs and scents.

"Tsk tsk, no wonder the Atu Kongs rebelled." Paul said as he read that only the Kongs bred by the Tagu were able to keep calm and helped in keeping the rampaging Kongs from freaking out.

But still many died and only two large boats remain, the Storyteller then says he was on the second boat with the majority of the Tagu while the High Shaman and the former King left behind with the newly married monarchs to ride on the third with the Atu.

But it was then they were all warned again by his cousin of the Skull Island. There they arrived to face attack from all sides, from the water, the air and then the Land.

Thankfully their Kongs were there to keep the devils away and was able to secure the beach to the people of new Tagu-atu. The third ship arrive by the time the battle was over and bore grave news, the newly crowned king is dead. Said by the queen to have been killed by a Tagu 'supremacist' blaming the King to have married a woman of the Atu.

"Pfft! Bullsh*t, this is some next level backstabbing shit going on." And like Paul predicted even the Storyteller felt things were wrong. He knew almost everyone in the Tagu and never had he heard of any that would dare and try to harm their prince.

Another suspicious thing was the queen said that their fathers stayed behind the island with the remaining people who cannot fit in the ship anymore. Thus was left there in the island full of fire and brimstone, his cousin wanted to sail back but was stopped by the queen saying she saw the island sink beneath the waters.

"Hold up…" Paul then went to the computer to check near Islands of Skull Island. He looked and saw there were several Islands with volcanic activity and found the one that erupted approximately around the time the Tagu-atu tribe sailed away.

"Oh that queen really is a liar…" Paul saw that the Island was still there and was also found to have signs of ancient civilizations but was almost erased by the volcanic eruptions near the 15th century.

Then something 'miraculous' happened, the High Shaman walked from the deep of the water saying he survived the apocalypse of the island as he felt the guidance of the gods. He said he was given strength and breath thus walked the land beneath the sea to get here.

"More bullsh*t…" Paul said as he read.

Even the storyteller smelt the stench of sh*ttery in the air, but he has no evidence or knowledge what happened. It just seemed to be coincidental that the King died on the Island while the Prince dies in the boat on the sea where the only people that could act as witness were the queen and her father the High Shaman.

But he cannot take action since the High Shaman's stunt made amny of the Atu and even some Tagu gain faith as they felt the gods did not abandon them. Paul could even realize it while reading, this was a big ass plot to gain the power of both tribes.

Paul kept reading and found how even when they got the shore, they still lived in fear as they realized it was not the large beast they should be wary of but also the monsters that lurk in the dark. 'Deathrunners' (Raptor like dinos) these smaller and faster beast seemed entirely different and does not follow the norm of most beings steering clear of the wall the Kongs raised.

The Apothecaries of Tagu-atu had made scented paste to ward of the beast of the island and made a village within its walls. But still then they lived in fear, so his cousin suggested they find out what gave these deathrunners courage to even invade territories with herds of Kongs.

This was where the Storyteller tells of the way his cousin, who was found to have been pregnant with real royal blood. Used the High Shaman's manipulation to gather the people of the tribe to follow her to 'conquer' the island because the gods willed it since they sent the High Shaman to them alive.

With no choice the High Shaman and the Queen followed behind since they cannot act weaker and cowardly in front of the people they had shaky hold on. They have not solidified they were the new 'Royal Family' as the Queen has no daughter.

And just like most stories, a great fight ensued as they found a large predator existed other than the gigantic Island devils(T-rex). It was a two headed mutation of the Death Runners and was large and stronger than the Kongs.

The battle was hard won but it came because of the insidious actions of the High Shaman who had tried to assassinate the trainer of Tagu Kongs, his cousin. He even prepared poison strong enough to weaken the Kongs.

But he did not prevail as he when he was about to kill the former wife of the prince, a female Kong of hers noticed her dilemma and tried to save her even when she was needed to hold down the two headed T-rex.

It did distract the shaman from delivering the killing blow but he was able to spray the poison to the Kong and weaken it. But before he could look back he was bashed to the head with a rock by the pregnant cousin of his. This was seen by many but the two headed monster still is alive, but the trainer saw the poison used by the High Shaman as a way to win the battle thus found a chance to spray it to one head therefore weakening it considerably.

They prevailed in the battle but it sewn conflict between the newly connected tribes, as some saw the High Shaman as a pillar to lean on. Yet seeing him killed by one of theirs made many Atu angry and some Tagu, but they cannot touch her as Kongs protect her.

It was then found out that during the battle, the Queen fled but for many days she was not able to return thus presumed dead.

"Hah! All that scheming but still dead in the end, what idiots…" Paul laughed as he read some more, the new leader was the former wife of the prince as she was the mother of the only living Royal blood in the tribe.

She made a council who will help her raise her child, and chose people from each group to appease the turmoil within.

The Kong that helped her kill the High Shaman was banished and it took almost all of the influence she has for the tribe to spare the Kong.

Years later, the banished Kong came back and brought with it a child Kong. The cub was fancied by the young princess and kept beside her as her playmate, this cub was found to have been a child of a Kong called 'Ghost'. A Kong that acclimated to the savagery of Skull Island and now wanders it as its new ruler.

Even in death the High Shaman's influence festered and was followed by people who lost their loved ones during the rampage of the Kongs in the island. For years they tried showing people the dangers of the Kong as they say they are just wild beast.

Thus they schemed to make their princess see the dangers of a Kong by tricked her to go to them to see the 'Fortress' they made to protect them from the devils of the island.

But in reality they wanted to test using the small Kong a trigger scent which they made using notes of an Atu Kong Breeder. Who later found out of what they did and tried to kill him by trapping him in a pit with the young Kong.

But it backfired as the young Kong escaped and went to the forest, but the 'rebels' were glad that the scent trigger was effective and thus more. Then they tied the young princess on a pedestal to be sacrifice to the 'Ghost' so they can make her see the horrors and the necessity of eradicating Kongs.

"What in the brain dead thinking was that? Wait a minute, the writing seemed to have changed. Is this a new story teller?"

So these 'rebels' spread the scent using pipes that lead to the mines where they got the metals they used and outside the entrance of the mines were the Kongs that the tribe kept to help them in everyday life.

They had wanted their tribesmen to see the savage sides of the Kong to fear them and cast out the beast for death.

"*sigh* what idiots are these people, they wanted people to see them in animalistic view but they do that using a trigger scent? Isn't it more like their fault and not the Kongs?" Paul rubbed his brow in frustration as he read this ancient drama.

But they were discovered by the Regent queen who was looking for her daughter, but it was too late, the scent has spread to the vents of the earth and it brought an unexpected effect of angering every beast within the Island.

They then said to the tribesmen they fought that this is the true face of the Island, they need not idle any longer and should fight back and kill them all. The 'rebels' tried convincing everyone that their metal blades would kill every beast and they should take arms with them.

The leader of this radical group even confronted the Regent Queen saying she had coddled the princess too much not letting her see the horrors of the Island that she should fear. He said with these armors and blades he shall conquer the island and make it a paradise for the Tagu-atu people as prophesized by the former High Shaman.

But before he could speak more he was killed by the horns of a large land beast(Triceratops) and was ripped to shreds. But the chaos went on and luckily the small Kong came back with the 'banished' Kong for help.

Being the former trainer of the Kong the Queen regent learned of the schemes of agitating the beast in the village thus sent the 'banished' one to help stop the kongs there from killing people. While the regent went with the small one to save her daughter from the 'Ghost'.

The chaos took a lot of lives as everything around them were killing each other, but the regent was able to save the princess with the help of the young Kong who was able to kill it's birth mother by pushing her to fall in a large sharp rib bone piercing her heart in an instant.

'Ghost's' death made the deathrunners leaderless again and ran away as even the small Kong was proven a better fighter than his size would tell. By the end of the day the scent disappeared and it was found that many loved ones died and a respectable person along with them, the former Storyteller.

This event made the Tagu-atu people realize that holding upon the old ways will destroy their tribes from the inside before they will be destroyed by the island. They then united in repairing the damage done and bury their dead in honor for their souls that fought for their continuation.

Thus started the reign of the new Queen, who had seen now wars and born into the newly united Tagu-atu tribe. With her Kong beside her to protect her and me her mother protecting her as her sword.

"Oh sh*t… the new Storyteller was the regent, the cousin of the last Story teller." Paul then found the rest has no more drama but just development and stability of the tribe.

"I bet the High Shaman left the king for dead and was on the third boat, might have also helped his daughter kill the new King(prince). Miracles my ass, walked underwater and breath in it? How the hell did he go past the deep parts where there are many of those large sea monsters there?" Paul said as he remembered there were many of prehistoric sea dinos in the sea of Skull Island.

They were unable to leave there as the storm around the Island keeps the flow of the water in and the large beast cannot swim past the rapid flow of waters as the Island was covered by large reefs and rocks that was too narrow and dangerous for the dinos to pass through.

Only a few days a year will a flow carry in and out ships but the passage is too narrow for the beast to leave. Thus the three ships were able to go there since the wind carried their sails towards the island.

"Oaky, let's check the other stuff here…"Paul then browsed the other files since he focused on historical scrolls as they had a distinct appearance other than the rest.

"Diary… ledgers… hmmm… ohh, these are bets in the coliseum… these are documents, for an ancient civilization they are sure advance in their organization… Tagu laws… this is, a bible? To the trash!" Paul won't read a tome of their religion when it was the one that made them in conflict.

"What an idiot Shaman, have a marriage to appease the gods and they'll stop the volcano from erupting? Divine right since they were sent to conquer the island? Blah blah blah!! All the guy did was full of greed and stupid decisions, I'm pretty sure he was mad when the regent pulled the masses to bring the Kongs to kill the two headed one." Paul said and he paused as he read a file that seemed too good to be true.

"Oh my WHAT!? This…this is gold! Hahaha I found gold!" Paul was reading a recipe, a recipe of how they first bred Kongs as well as many other medicinal discoveries of the Tagu-Atu people. Paul them went on for the whole night trying to find which herbs they used and started to research thoroughly.

[Marvel World]

"Oh crap!" Paul woke up as he realized what he just found, a way to make more giant Kongs. Possible he might also derive a formula for other animals as well.

This is a great discovery and his knowledge in beast taming was already substantial that he knew even this knowledge would make many beast masters drool in the cultivation world.

"Imagine what Fury's face will be once I pull up and hundreds of Kongs follow me behind. Mwuahahahaha!!" Paul cackled as he went to the kitchen.

"Why are you laughing like that Paul?" Shanna came out of the bathroom in a bathrobe wet and steaming. "You sound like those mad scientist in movies, you've had dinner already?"

"It's nothing. Food? No, not yet. But I'll make one right now, you want some?" Paul said as he was in front of the fridge thinking of what to cooks.

"Yeah, I could go for some snacks if it's okay with you." Shanna then walked to their room and dried her hair with a blow drier.

"So did you tour the ship yet?" Paul asked as they were already in the Atlantic near Mauritania going towards Nigeria where they can drive their RV to where the reserve is South of Chad.

"I did, do you know there is a casino in this Ferry ship? But many people there are snobs, they asked which room I was in but when I said I was staying in the brig where the cars were they ignore me totally." Shanna said as she brushed her hair while drying it.

"Ignore those people, so how are the two cubs coming along?" Paul was preparing in the kitchen as he asked.

"Oh they are fine, they don't like going out of the bus since they get see sick but in here they don't feel a thing and are very playful. I hope they can grow big and strong once we let them be in the wild." Shanna's voice has pity on them as she remembered her Jaguar.

"Don't worry, you'll be with them there protecting them and will teach them stuff. Maybe one day they can learn how to cook too…" Paul said in a humoring manner.

"Hehe, then what you'll have them cook your food for you? That's blatant slavery!" Shanna walked to the kitchen with her semi-dried hair and two small cubs followed behind her.

"But you're their parent now so that makes you their mom, then by default I will be their daddy so they have to pull some weight here. They must learn how to throw their litter and the trash too after they finish potty training." Paul smiled as looked at Shanna blush.

"Soo… they will be our kids then?" Shanna asked as she fidgeted and looked at Paul with endearing eyes.

"What you want more? Raising two kids is going to be hard enough already isn't that right Biri and Ina, I will have to spoil you two after I give my best to your mommy…" Paul talked at the two cubs that were walking between his feet rubbing their body against him in comfort.

"What the hell are you telling them Paul, their just kids they don't need to hear that yet…" Shanna said as she pinched Paul's sides.

"Ow ouch ow!!" Paul acted like he was hurt and the cubs then went to bite the edge of the bath robe and tried pulling Shanna away from Paul while they make small squealing noises.

"See this girls? Mommy is hurting me!" Paul said as he acted more hurt.

"You traitors!!" Shanna fumed as she looked at the two cubs that already let go of the robe while looking away acting innocent. Seeing her look at them made the two run away while Shanna chased after them.

"Come here you rascals, your bite marks are still in my robe!" Shanna them playfully chased the two cubs in the RV as they ran in glee.

"Yep, this is just right." Paul said as he kept cooking their dinner.
