It was nearly midnight when Asuka and Amelia finally finished they're talk. They talked about many things for hours on end, but it was now time for Amelia to head home. Asuka escorted her to her home. They walked in silence but it was wasn't an awkward one. Asuka wore a gentle smile on her face and Amelia was practically jump on the way to her home. It wasn't until they reached their destination that they began to speak.
"So, how about I make up for earlier by taking you out tomorrow? Same time," the trinity proposed.
"I can't wait," Amelia replied who was shaking with excitement, "oh yeah and Asuka, I finished sowing your clothes back together. Just wait here, I'll only be a minute."
She grabbed the sides of her dress and pulled them up to not trip on it. The stairs creaked under the pressure of her heeled shoes and she skipped to the top.
She then walked inside the house leaving Asuka alone with her thoughts. She walked forward and sat on a the first stair. She then closed her eyes manifesting herself in her snowy inner world and began to speak to the being living inside her.
Annie was sitting on the ground seemingly with her legs crossed and facing away from Asuka. The black fog that was covering Annie's figure had faded slightly but her appearence was still hidden. The things which caught Asuka's eye was the horn on that was protruding on her head had grown ever so slightly and she could just make out was that her hair was slightly lighter than the rest of her.
"Hey Annie, you've been awfully quiet. Everything alright?"
No response came. Only an eerie silence, making a small drop of sweat run down her face.
"Annie? You good? ANNIE?!"
The figure calmly raised her head, then turned her head around to look at the girl with an assumed irritated look.
"You okay? You've been quiet for quite a few hours. It's not like you."
Annie at first didn't respond. She remained unmoving in the snow covered stone. Then she relaxed her face and turned away from the girl.
"No. There is something troubling me. But it's nothing you need to worry about right now. Just focus on your mission and Amelia. This is something I'll handle on my own," she said sternly.
Asuka wanted to retort but she knew Annie was much smarter and more mature than her. So she decided to trust her judgment and leave it be.
"Fine."
She then took a seat a little bit behind Annie and crossed both her arms and her legs.
"I'll just wait here until your ready to talk."
Annie couldn't help but groan at Asuka's persistence.
"You know, not long ago you were doing something somilar," said Annie, " Some might find it hypocritical of you to say that."
"You're right," she replied confidently, "and I've realized that I was wrong for doing that. It's not good to burden oneself."
Annie tilted her head and rubbed her chin contemplating Asuka's word's. Then, she began to speak.
"I'm having visions."
"Visions? Of what?"
"Idk. The past I think. A long time ago. At least a couple hundred years."
"Well? What did you see?"
"There was a woman. She had black hair, horns and a halo floating above her head. Her face was covered in blood. She was swinging a spear down towards my chest."
"So she was attacking you."
"Yes. But there was another vision. In the first I couldn't really tell what was happening apart from the fact I was being attacked. But in the vision...it was the same woman, yet she was acting completely different."
Annie paused, as the image again flashed into her mind.
"There were children. Human and demon alike. Playing in a grassy field. Running around the same woman. She looked younger. Like a young adult. She wore a gentle smile."
Annie paused and looked up into the dark cloudy sky before speaking again.
"It was...beautiful," she choked out.
Annie wiped something from her face, then turned around to face Asuka.
"I think these vision are my memories."
Asuka raised her eyebrow.
"Memories? But how? You should have only existed for as long as I have."
"Yes. I thought so as well. But in the last vision, the woman spoke to me."
"To you?"
"Yes. The me now. She had called me by a different name before asking if i would have prefered to be called Annie."
Asuka did not reply. She instead remained deep in thought, processing Annie's words.
"So she can see into the future or something."
Annie thought for a moment before speaking.
"I think it's a little different from that. But I can't remember right now. I need more of my memories to return. I haven't gotten any more after the second one."
"I see. Do you know why they could be coming back now?"
"Two things. First, was the story Amelia was talking about earlier. The hero in it was the woman in my memories. The story was a trigger for my memories I think. The second has to do with the seal on your contra weakening. Now that I think about it, before the seal weakened for the first time, I didn't have a personality. I was just a husk, sitting here. Empty of everything that made me me."
"That's....that's just cruel."
Annie quickly noticed Asuka's mood change.
"You don't need to worry. I doubt Ichigo had intended to do that."
"I know that....but still."
Annie finally stood up. She walked over to Asuka, sat infront of her and placed a hand on her shoulder.
"You don't need to worry about me. It's in the past and I'm here now so there's no need to worry."
Asuka smiled at her words. Then, a question popped into her head.
"Hey, you mentioned the woman had horns right? You think she was a hybrid like ichigo."
Annie clasped her hands together unsure of how the girl would.
"No. I think she's might be a trinity like you."
Asuka wasn't sure how to react. She wasn't exactly shocked, but there was a pulling feeling she felt inside her head. Almost like something was trying to call her attention. But, she ignored this nagging feeling and focused back her attention to the conversation.
"You okay," asked a concerned Annie asked.
"Y-yeah. Just a sudden headache. It nothing."
Asuka waved her hand in the air and disregarded Annie's concern.
"So, a trinity huh. I guess its not that surprising another existed. Especially since it was so long ago. But to think you knew her personally. You really are lucky to meet two trinity in your life eh Annie," Asuka said with a smirk.
Annie scoffed at Asuka's words.
"Whatever."
"Hey, you said that she mentioned your name right?"
"Yeah. What of it?"
"What was it? I wanna know your real name."
"I highly doubt knowing my name would bring any benefit to you."
"I know, but I think that it could be a good way of knowing the true you. I mean, you can't really know someone if you don't know their name."
Annie pondered for a second and then answered the girl.
"Capyta. She called me Capyta."
"Capyta. How fitting," she said with a smile.
"Now, I think you've spent enough time in here. You'd better head out. Amelia might be worried."
"You're right. I'll see talk with you later, Capyta."
Saying this she walked up to the sitting figure and gave her a head pat with reassuring smile to Annie. She didn't show it but Asuka knew Annie appreciated what she said. She then turned and walked away leaving Annie to her own thoughts.
Asuka opened her eye's and found herself still sitting on the staircase of the house. She looked around and saw that Amelia had yet to come return from inside. She looked up at the two moons floating over head. Their position was a little more westward than they were before she went to talk with Annie.
"About fifteen minutes have passed and she's still not out. What could she be up to."
Asuka stood and was about to walk inside the home, but the door suddenly swung open slamming against the wall and knocked out the top screws making the door lean forward. On the other side, was Amelia but her face was pale and there were lines on her face going from her eye's down her cheek.
"Tears?"
"S...sorry I took so long," she said scratching the back of her head,"I uhh...had to..h...help my parents into bed."
She then stretched her arms out towards Asuka. In them were the clothes that were previously torn and soaked in blood now sewn up and sparkling. Asuka however didn't even acknowledge that they were there. She didn't or more accurately couldn't look away from her friend.
"What happened?"
There was no ill intent behind those words. No malice at all. Yet instinctively, Amelia flinched. Her eyes widened and she look down unable to meet Asuka's eyes. She retracted her arms and gripped her elbows as her body trembled. And words Asuka hadn't been ready to hear spilled from her lips.
"M...my parents...t...they're dead."
