Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: A chance encounter with a Death Eater

On June 16, 1980, in an ordinary British family, a baby was born.

The baby had sparse black hair and green pupils like two of the most transparent and pure emeralds, just like a gift from God.

But his parents did not think so.

As the baby was born, strange phenomena around the baby gradually became more obvious.

There were frequent sounds of items smashing onto the floor, windows suddenly opening by an unknown force in the middle of the night, and sometimes missing leather shoes from the shoe cabinet were found in the aisles.

Even though the baby did not cry or make any fuss, which frightened them.

Its parents and relatives were truly frightened and thought the baby was some kind of devil. Without even giving the baby a name, they abandoned it at an orphanage in the middle of the night when no one was around.

The baby, now known as Qin Feng, continued to observe everything calmly with his new baby eyes. He felt no resentment, only acceptance, as he contemplated his future.

Even though he hadn't taken any potion, an adult's soul naturally possesses a certain amount of spiritual power. Not to mention the opportunity he had experienced, which brought him just a step away from becoming a Beyonder.

Qin Feng recalled some peculiar individuals he had noticed before. They were dressed quite oddly, but why hadn't they attracted attention from others? Was he the only one who noticed it?

Feeling the gentle and peculiar force that resurfaced under the influence of his spiritual power, Qin Feng grew more convinced that there must be some extraordinary aspect to this seemingly ordinary world.

However, Qin Feng's experience with the orphanage was quite unexpected; it had come to an end before it even started.

Less than a day after the head of the orphanage took in Qin Feng, another dark and windy midnight came.

A soft cracking sound roused the swaddled Qin Feng.

"Who?"

As soon as this question rose in Qin Feng's mind, a gloomy figure cloaked in darkness suddenly appeared before him.

"It is a male."

With just a glance, Qin Feng immediately observed some details exposed by the intruder and made a judgment.

Or perhaps he was just too lazy to cover up?

After all, there was only a fragile baby here; what kind of danger could there be?

The man walked to the side of the cradle; Qin Feng could clearly see the pair of bloodshot eyes under the hood, along with an ordinary face with wrinkled skin.

The baby's green eyes met with the man's crazy black eyes, causing the hysteria in the man's eyes to be stunned for a moment.

He seemed a little surprised that the baby did not cry nor made a fuss, but he soon no longer cared.

He accidentally discovered this muggle wizard baby after a battle with The Order of Phoenix and soon made up his mind to use the baby as a guinea pig for his magic experiment.

The man turned over his withered palm, and a slender wooden wand appeared on the palm of his hand. The wand aimed at Qin Feng and casted a spell that would scare other people.

"Imperio."

The curse, which made people's minds fall into happiness and be controlled, entered Qin Feng's brain, but before the feeling of happiness could be produced, the spell had been mercilessly swallowed by the Galan's Cave.

If the imperius curse could speak, it would probably yell at this freak of a baby in shock and anger, right?

However, Qin Feng's rationality was not affected in the slightest. Although in this previous life he did not study English deeply, basic normal conversation would not pose a problem.

A quick search in his memory, and Qin Feng immediately locked onto a target…

All kinds of strange happenings occurred during childhood, a wand that could shoot curses, the famous unforgivable curse, it could not be any clearer.

", not bad."

Although the stories in his memory could only serve as a reference since this was reality, but its assistance value to him was sufficient.

After confirming the environment, Qin Feng quickly formulated the best response for the moment, and soon his face became dull, even his eyes were a little dazed.

Although these micro-expressions were not obvious on a baby's face, the overall change in temperament was enough for the dark wizard in front of him to notice.

Seeing the baby in front of him had been fully controlled, the dark wizard nodded his head, reached out, and picked up the baby from the cradle. The dark figure, like a crow, flew away into the night.

The next day, early in the morning, when the orphanage nurses found the empty cradle, they could not help but jump around looking for clues, but as time went by, the lack of clues eventually led to the disappearance of the baby being forgotten.

On June 15, 1985.

Five years had passed by quickly; in the blink of an eye, Qin Feng had become a five-year-old half-grown boy.

After five years, Qin Feng had found out the identity of the dark wizard being a Death Eater through the dark mark on his left arm, and had some understanding of him.

"John," this was what the other Death Eaters called this half-blood wizard, a classic dark wizard who had completely lost himself in the mad pursuit of the power of dark magic.

Qin Feng, as one of his "guinea pigs," was used by John to observe uncontrolled magic bursts and tried to create dark magic called "Obscurus."

Originally, John planned to prepare for additional "substitutes" since he himself knew that it was impossible for an experiment to succeed in one try.

However, when he gave Qin Feng the first drink of the magic potion aimed to incite uncontrolled magical bursts, the result made John ecstatic.

The experiment was, of course, a failure, the creation of "Obscurus" failed, but in a sense, the first step was successful.

John never expected that the baby under the imperius curse in front of him calmed the magic riot himself, allowing John to record precious experimental data.

What was even more incredible was that, despite John's repeated attempts to provoke the baby's uncontrolled magic out of anxiety, the baby miraculously survived the experiment unharmed.

"It was as if the baby was inherently capable of restraining magical riots!"

John's thin face flashed with a kind of crazy excitement; he sighed intoxicatedly while quickly writing down strings of precious experimental data using an automatic quill pen.

Originally, after the "Godric's Hollow Incident" four years ago, "You know who" disappeared, and the "Chosen One" shattered the ambitions of the Death Eaters, John was left fleeing everywhere in panic.

The only motivation preventing this bloody Death Eater from wanting to die was the "guinea pig" in front of him that was "gifted" by the Gods.

"As soon as I develop "Obscurus," I will be the next 'Dark Lord'!"

As he looked at the raging magic power bursting out around the thin figure in front of him, John roared in his heart with his eyes bursting with ambitions.
