"For this, we have waited far too many years,"
Mo Ke said, holding a lantern and moving slowly forward along the path, step by step. Her pace was not fast.
But under the light of that lantern, she seemed to possess the ability to shrink distances, as though by taking just one step forward, she could vanish in an instant and reappear at the head of the street.
And that graceful shadow kept following her, staying close to her own sister, voicing her concerns.
"The Blood Rain Demon Lord, could it be?"
Mo Ke shook her head, her gaze cool as she weaved through the crowds, yet not a single person could detect her presence. If the Empress were to witness this scene, she would be utterly shocked, after all, the Empress knew too much about her State Preceptor.
But she had no idea that the State Preceptor's powers could be so formidable.
"I don't know."
Mo Ke's gaze seemed to have dimmed significantly.
