Alen moderating the server he has responsibility on for several hours until his shift is done, then he goes to play Twelve Swords to grind more. Now he's at level 4, and he headed to the market to buy some bows and arrows. When he was there, he was so surprised by how cheap the bows are.
Even bows with level 5 (max) craftsmanship only cost 100 gold coins. Seeing other items like swords that have the same level of craftsmanship costing thousands of gold, he wanted to buy one.
But after seeing the required stat to use that bow, he gave up his intention. He needed 100 strength to even pull the string, yet he only has 40 in strength.
Even with all the skill points he has now, it couldn't reach the requirement. He then sees a crossbow; it has a high piercing status but is really slow to use. Maybe he should not buy a weapon yet; he needs gear to increase his chance of surviving.
He then bought a full set of armor made out of animal skin. He didn't know what it was, but it was hard and looked like good early protection. The full set of armor cost him 50 gold, not that bad.
Alen, for the first time, goes roaming in the beginner forest alone without a guide. For several hours, everything is going well until he found a cave. It was likely a dungeon. When he stood in front of it, a chilling air was coming out from that cave entrance.
He wants to get in, but at the same time, he doesn't know what's inside that cave. He then thinks to himself, 'screw it,' and gets inside the cave. It was dark, but he has a practical torch that can light up when held. He then sees a brick wall and reinforced soil.
This is definitely a dungeon. He then goes deeper and finds a chest; he throws one of his arrows since he cannot shoot his arrow with one hand while holding a torch.
It was not a mimic. Mimics casually respond to any touch, even if that's just a feather that falls and touches it. He then loots the chest. Nothing much inside, just full of something called components and scrap. Yeah, as long as it can be sold, he would take it.
He then goes in deeper and meet more chest as usual he threw an object at the chest to make sure it was not a mimic, then he found a dead player he then look at the inventory on its body, it was not looted he was a fighter class, his armor and sword can be sold.
Suddenly, a rat-like humanoid monster attacked him while he was holding the fighter corpse's sword. With reflex, he slashed it open and killed the rat-like humanoid. That was scary and unexpected. He got items: a dirty rug and rat teeth from that.
"Holy.... i tough i was goint to die there..." he then look at the sword he hold "why i can use this ? This is fighter sword... im an ranger am i ?" He then look at this as advantage and now he hold a torch and sword both arm now he feels more save.
Alen then sees a crack on the wall, for his experience playing classic games, a crack on the wall means it can be destroyed. He hits the cave wall with his sword several times until it collapses, revealing another path down.
"Aha!... knew it!" He then goes in, but suddenly, the atmosphere of the room changes drastically. A tingling sensation in the air... Sasha told him that something like this would happen if he saw a higher-level player or monster, but this sensation comes from every corner of the cave.
He goes deeper and deeper until he meet an alter like room it was spacious room and he know what this mean "this is just a boss arena no way im going in there" he went straight to the other side of the cave.
He then found a room with many chest, he so happy to find this tresure like room, he got many good item to sell even a mew type of arrow... just 3 of them tough.
He then looks at the long hallways with a golden chest on the other side. 'This is literally a trap... but... I think it's worth it.' He then approaches the chest slowly, expecting an arrow shooter trap, spikes, or even boulders that fall or chase him.
But after getting close and checking if it was a mimic, which it is not, he is so confused but happy there's no trap. He opens it and finds a skill scroll, a set of ritual needed, and lastly, a blue crystal ball shining. He cannot put it in his inventory, but he can wield it.
The crystal is called a boss pet. He doesn't know what it means, but he takes it, and now he heads to the village to sell his goods and store his useful loot.
But suddenly, he hears the clanking noise of armor and sees an army of living armor. He then checks their level, and he is surprised; they are at level 50. He runs for his life while those living armor chase him, the clanking armor noise is getting closer and closer.
He hits as hard as possible on one of the cave's foundations, causing it to collapse and killing one of the living armors. He levels up, but he doesn't care about it now; he must run and get out of that cave.
A magic projectile starts passing by him; some of those living armors have mages among them. After he gets away from the cave, he uses a teleporter since he is not near any monument or dungeon.
He pants exhaustively while looking at the blue crystal ball in his hand. 'Oh my god... that was scary... I hope... hah... I hope you are worth it.' He then sells all the items he doesn't need and keeps valuable and useful items in his account to keep them safe. He gains 700 gold from this dungeon run and doesn't bother to check on his level up; he just logs off for the day unknownly making a problem on begginer village.
