"Sir! Sir can you hear me?!"
"Someone call an ambulance!"Â
It hurts...
Everything hurts?
"He's losing so much blood... Poor guy..."
I can't move my body?
I feel so tired? What happened?
I can't remember?
"Sir! Just hold on the ambulance will be here soon!"
Oh shut up... You're too loud...Â
I have a DNR signed anyways... But ambulance? Am I dying?
Finally... I can finally rest...

At least, that's what I was supposed to be able to do.
What is this place?
"Hello little one, I see you've finally made it!"
I whipped my head around to follow the voice, and immediately I could feel the color drain from my face.
Ahead of me, was a tall white throne, and next to it, was a tall black one as well.
Seated upon both, were two huge, monolithic... humans? Well they have human faces. But humans... don't have wings... or halos...? Or... wait are those demon horns??? Where am I???
The tall obsidian figure rose from her chair, and beckoned me forward.
Unfortunately it didn't seem like an optional gesture, considering how I was pulled forward hastily by some invisible force.
I now stood wide eyed at both people in front of me... and they stared back.
"Uhm... Hello?" I timidly spoke, my curiosity slowly eroding the fear away.
"Awwwwwwh!!! God, look at himmmmm!!! How did you make someone so cute oh my goodness!" The tall black figure squatted down before me, resting her chin in her hands. She was looking at me in a rather amused way.
"Hello little child! Do you remember what happened to you?" She asked, showing me a bright smile.
Just as I opened my mouth to reply, I felt a sharp crack resonate through my mind, and was soon brought to my knees by searing pain flashing through my head.
"I think we should break up..."
"Well you don't have anything going for you, and you quit every job you start..."
"Useless and manipulative..."
"Lazy! Fake! He's just trouble!"
I could feel tears starting to well up as memories of my life started to flash through my mind's eye.
Just when I felt like I was going to throw up from the pain, it stopped, and I found myself lying on the cold floor in front of the two monoliths.
"Awh, that didn't look fun at all..." The black figure was looking at me sadly, as I looked up and tried to catch my breath. The white figure was silent, just staring at me. Was that... ridicule? I don't like it.Â
He stared for a few more seconds, before he arched an eyebrow and opened his mouth.
"Henri Regias. Do you know why you have been summoned here?" He spoke slowly, each word seemingly penetrating my heart.
"N-no... I just know I died..." I stammered out. Why was I so anxious?
"Wasn't that what you yourself desired though?" The tall white figure spoke back, inviting me to open more rapport.
"I--"Â
"Oh come ON God, don't interrogate him like that, he'll get scared! Besides, we need him right? Right?" The black figure turned and looked over at her partner.
So that's God? And he's... a dick? No, that's not the point Henri.
"Look little one, let me explain, because this idiot just likes to assume everyone knows his plans." The obsidian lady rolled her bright red eyes before crossing her legs and sitting down in front of me.
"So Henri, do you know where you are?" She smiled patiently at me.
"Well... if that's God... then I'm assuming this might be heaven?" I whispered, unaware until now exactly how nervous I had actually become.
"Mm you're so smart! Yes! Currently, we're at heaven. And yes, that's God~ and since that's God, can you guess who I am?" She smiled brightly, almost looking eager.
"Are you... the devil?" I whispered.
"WRONG! "The Devil" doesn't exist silly~ I'm Lucifer! And I guard the entrance to the underworld~ Which is where you will be going!" She giggled, her sparkling red eyes narrowing at me.
"Wait, if I'm going to He-- I mean, the underworld... Then why am I in Heaven?" I glanced up into the golden eyes of God, before quickly breaking the eye contact. His gaze makes me feel itchy...
"Well, unfortunately," Lucifer snorted as she shot a lofty gaze towards God, "SOMEONE made a mistake and, you weren't even supposed to exist. Let alone die like that."
....What?
I wasn't supposed to exist...? Then...Â
"Wait! How do you mess up CREATING a person? How do you make someone on accident?! And if I was made on accident, what was the point of suffering like that for 28 years?!" I couldn't help it, I screamed it at him.Â
God narrowed his eyes at me before he responded. "Yes, you suffered for no reason. You weren't supposed to exist in that world. Therefore that world saw you as a mistake, and constantly tried to eliminate you in response. Your life was full of terror, because you weren't supposed to exist. Sorry about that!"
My jaw dropped.
"So... So you're telling me that because YOU messed up, I was forced to be alive in a world where no one actually wanted me. Not even... God?!"
"Hm... I suppose you're right. Yes, that's it."
"Then what was... the point?"
What was the point of even trying so hard...?
Lucifer looked back and forth between me and God several times before she pinched the bridge of her nose and sighed.
"Look, God isn't perfect, Henri. He likes to think he is, and he tells people he is, but he's not. We brought you here, because we want to make up for it. Will you listen to us?" She gently asked me. I wasn't sure why, but Lucifer looked worried.Â
Ha. The Devil cares more than God. Now that's funny.
"I... guess..." I whispered, and silently looked towards Lucifer to continue her explanation.
"Awwwwwwwwwwwh!~ Look God! Look how cute he is!"
I could practically see the roses smacking me in the face as she beamed at me from above.
"Ahem. Anyways, God messed up. And then you suffered a lot. Your pain and hatred was off the charts right before you died! It caught even my attention! And that's when we noticed, you didn't belong there! Henri, you were never supposed to be put on Earth! You were never even supposed to be human!"
I stayed silent. I wasn't supposed to be human. I wasn't supposed to exist. But I did, and because of that, I was shit on by life for 28 years...
"So... What now?"Â
"Well... Would you like to try again? Would you like to try living in the world where you were supposed to be?" Lucifer gazed into my eyes, and I could tell just how serious she was.
I froze.
Try again? Try living again?!
"Why would I even do that?! How do I know any of this is even true? You messed up once, how do I know you won't mess up again?" I retorted, anger beginning to rise up in me.
"Because I could sense hope from your soul as you were dying... and the regret... Wouldn't you like to get it right this time?" Lucifer spoke softly, I could tell she was trying to be gentle.
I stayed silent.
It was 28 years of pure hell. I was the only "yours" from a "yours, mine, and ours" type of family. For 28 years I struggled to give and receive love. I was constantly met with ridicule and disappointment with anything I attempted. My life, was one of no worth, and I was reminded of it every day.
But... She was right... I had always held out hope that it would get better... It never did, but I did try to stay optimistic. And when I died...
"What... If I did... Try living again... What would I do?" I gazed up at God with a hardened look.
"Well, you have two choices. You can go back to Earth, but as a normal human, who is supposed to be there. And you will live there as an ordinary human. Or, I will send you where you were supposed to be. We will reincarnate your soul, and you will be sent to be birthed in Revelations, the land of the Demons, where you were supposed to be."
I was silent for a few moments as I thought carefully.
"What's the catch for the reincarnation?" I asked hesitantly.
"You have 28 years to defeat the Demon King and take his throne. If you can't do that, then your soul will be demolished, never to be born again." God held a steady gaze towards me. It felt like he could see right through me.
Twenty-eight years to kill the Demon King? And if I didn't, I'd never be born again...?
I glared up at God. "I'll do it. I'll defeat the Demon King."
Lucifer turned all smiles as she clapped her hands excitedly. "Perfect, perfect! I knew you had it in you~"
I cut her off sharply, still glaring heavily at God, "But after I take his throne, I'll take yours too." I jabbed a finger towards the white figure, my resolve apparent in my voice.
God raised an eyebrow before giving a condescending smirk.
"Henri Regias, I hereby order you to reincarnate into Revelations, and defeat the Demon King. If by doing so, you gain enough power to break into Heaven, I will gladly give you the fight you're seeking."
Lucifer's jaw dropped as she swiveled her head back and forth between me and God.
"Now, sleep."
And with that, God snapped his fingers, and my vision and mind, went dark.
