Chapter 124 - Devil Realm

"Where are we?" Bian saw only black all around. The walking shelter was surrounded by black mist everywhere.

"You teleported in the instant everything went black. We were just walking near a normal shelter when this happened," Hope Spirit responded.

Bian left the shelter and saw Faith and Love Spirit staring in a certain direction. He followed their gaze to view a massive statue of a woman clad in armor.

She had pointed ears, wings, and a tail ending in an arrowhead.

"We are in the devil realm. Someone must have used a devil orb near the shelter, which teleported us here," Bian spoke from his knowledge after seeing the huge statue.

He knew this devil realm was the Ancient Devils' destroyed shelter. There were dimensional cracks everywhere and wretched, powerful super creatures.

He wanted nothing to do with the realm other than to leave, but he didn't know how he could do that.

At that moment, the cry of a baby could be heard.

"What is that?" Hope Spirit asked.

"Trouble," Bian responded while summoning the golden vambrace.

Sure enough, different ferocious gorilla-like creatures came out of the darkness to consume their flesh.

Knowing the strength of the super creatures which lie here, Bian didn't activate his Empirical Aura as the light could attract even more beasts.

"Use the Ink Sun Dragon to protect the shelter! I'll be back in a bit."

Bian jumped towards the savage beasts, and a bloody massacre ensued. Sacred-blood creatures were no longer a match for him at this point.

He made sure the Empirical Will was active so he could collect all sorts of new beast souls.

"Follow me!"

After a few minutes of fighting, Bian finally managed to lead the beasts away from the shelter.

Unfortunately, just as he was leading them away, they were also leading him to something.

"So you're the boss around here!" Bian said to the five-meter-tall dark creature. It had rippling muscles and sword-like claws.

Without wasting a second, he immediately went for the throat. The golden blade of the vambrace flew to the tree-like throat of the creature.

The beast let out an enraged yell and used a smaller kin to block Bian's strike while its claws went to his face.

'Brutal!' The creature sacrificed one of its own just to block a single attack that could have been avoided.

It did this just so it could get a chance to strike him. Thankfully, with the heavenly go and Dongxuan Sutra working in tandem, Bian could easily avoid its claws by using aero to maneuver to its side.

Without wasting a breath, he thrust the golden blade towards the back of the creature, aiming for its heart.

"Roar!"

The beast managed to avoid his deadly thrust at the last moment, redirecting the blade to its shoulder.

With his blade stuck in the scapula, it clawed at his face once more while its minions scurried around him, cutting off his path of retreat.

"Good judgment, bad response!"

Bian caught the awkward stab of the creature; he was at its back for a reason. Veins popped up on his forehead as he applied all his might to snap its fingers.

With a crunch, all the phalanges in its right arm were broken. Bian's body had gotten tyrannically stronger after his evolution because the body pillar had absorbed jade skin.

The creature howled in pain and fell on its back, aiming to smear Bian.

He unsummoned the golden vambrace and pushed himself off, avoiding the crushing fall.

"Scram!"

Bian channeled extreme yang towards his fist and punched the ground. The several beasts rushing towards him were sent flying.

Without relenting, he charged at the creature, which used its other arm to claw at him in a wide arc.

"Predictable!" Bian was disappointed, to say the least. He rolled mid-air to avoid the swipe attack, then spun a kick to the creature's face.

It bared its fangs and prepared to swallow his leg.

Bian adjusted his aim to smash one of its eyes instead.

As the creature howled again, more beasts were approaching them. Some of them were of the same species, while others were more deformed. But one thing they all had in common was their unified bloodlust towards him.

"I guess that's all for now. I definitely would have beaten this beast within a few more minutes.

This means I'm already on par with the stronger side of super creatures."

The golden vambrace reappeared on Bian's arm as his breathing stopped. The body pillar went into hyperdrive, and he became a solid jade statue filled with destructive power.

Swoosh!

The fragile space was shattered as a golden arc flew from the tip of Bian's blade to the creature's neck.

As Bian stepped back to avoid the shattering space, the head of the creature flew into the air while the other super creatures stopped their charge.

[Super Creature Devil Fang King killed. The beast soul has been acquired. The flesh is inedible. Eat the life essence of the Devil Fang King to gain 0 to 10 super geno points randomly.]

"Devil Fang King, the badge-type beast soul which can be exchanged after collecting ten thousand devil presences." Bian immediately recalled the attribute of the Devil Fang King.

He summoned the badge and watched as it flew over the dead Devil Fang beasts, collecting a black mist from them.

"As for why the other beasts didn't attack me, it should be because of that." Bian turned his head to a part of the devil realm where the ringing of a bell could be heard.

The devil badge came back to him, and he saw an additional entry next to the name.

[Super Beast Soul Devil Fang King: Badge Type. Devil Presence +132. Collect ten thousand to trade with Devil King.]

Rumble!

The creatures ignored him altogether and moved towards the center of the realm where the bell was ringing.

Bian wanted nothing more than to leave this place, but he didn't know the way out. He also felt danger the more the bell rang, as if he wouldn't want to be outside the area when it stopped ringing.

Just as Bian was conflicted on what to do, he heard a terrifying sound coming from his soul sea.

There he spotted a ten-meter-tall muscle machine. It was a minotaur with black fur, glistening dark crystal horns, and onyx hooves.

Its eyes were a vibrant purple and gave off a subtle sense of sentience.

The greatest change to the minotaur, other than its size, was the aura it gave off.

"Absolutely domineering, like a tyrant amongst kings. Tyrant!"

The Strength Overlord, Tyrant, responded to its new name by looking straight at Bian through his soul sea.

When its eyes locked on him, Bian felt a pressure similar to those he felt off demigods.

A wide grin spread across his face.

"Looks like it was worth the time and resources. With Tyrant by my side, do I still have anything left to fear?"

Bian moved to the arena where the other creatures were gathering. With the Strength Overlord by his side, he no longer had a reason to be overly cautious.

Bian called for the three spirits, and the four of them made their way to the arena where the creatures were.

Several beasts surrounded the area, with the strongest beasts closer to the center. Bian could now see clearly that it was a palace with several creatures sitting on the roofs and walls around it.

He and the three spirits made their way to the center where the strongest positioned themselves.

Bian checked out the other six creatures which held the highest authority. One had a mostly humanoid shape, save for its tiger head, four legs, and wings.

Its body was mostly black, like obsidian, but glyph-like creeks of lava ran across its joints. This monster was holding a greataxe, which was as big as a house.

To the left of this creature, there was a red dog with two heads. The heads possessed horns. One head had one horn, whereas the other head had two.

The dog with two horns breathed ice, whereas the dog with one horn breathed fire.

To the right of the tiger-humanoid monster stood a hydra. It was a hundred meters tall, and it possessed four wings. Each serpent head had a horn.

Next to the hydra was a white sheep, whose wool was fluffy like the clouds of the sky.

Back on the left, besides the red dog, there was a man. He was sitting, and there were devil-like wings on his back. He was clad in purple armor, but the wings wrapped him up like a blanket, obscuring most of the details of his form. Bian could not see his face, but he already knew the man was not human.

The last creature was a large armored creature, which looked like it was clad in steel.

"They're all crazy strong, but not the most dangerous."

Bian squinted his eyes towards the spirit which had seemingly appeared out of nowhere. At the same time, the bell stopped ringing.
