Fiona called Trevor over to have a word with him, and they both sat facing each other in her room. She had locked the door so word didn't go out.
"What is wrong with you Trevor?" She asked, staring daggers at him, he rolled his eyes and decided not to speak.
"I'm talking to you, why are you trying to ruin my plans??" She asked.
"Mom, can you just sit back for once and think? You are planning to hurt the people who have been nothing but kind to you, how can you just act like this? Where is your conscience?" He asked back.
"How dare you talk to me like that? I'm doing all of this for you. To talk about conscience, I don't feel anything because what I'm doing is good." Fiona is way too blinded by her selfishness that she believes that whatever she is doing is good.
"You are hopeless, mom, nothing I say is okay will bring you out of this thing you are doing." Trevor stood up, he was done with this conversation, his anger was building up and he was scared that he might raise his voice at her.
"If you think I'm wrong then why don't you report me? Tell them I'm planning something evil against them!" She yelled.
"You know I can't do this, you know I can't tell them the truth because you are my mom." His voice was a few octaves low, he knew he was a coward for not telling on his mother.
"Of course, I know you can't, then why don't you just join forces with me? We can have all of this if you join forces with me." She tried to sway him into joining her.
"Don't take my love for you as my weakness, I won't ever join forces with you." He opened the door and stepped out leaving his furious mother in the room.
When he got home, Morgana and Maxwell were in a heated argument, he saw Phoebe standing not too far from them in tears. She held her left cheek and was weeping silently.
"What is going on here?"
...A few hours earlier.....
Maxwell just left for work, he left after eating the potion of his breakfast, and he left Morgana and Phoebe who were still having their breakfast.
"You know Morgana, when Maxwell and I were young, we were inseparable." Phoebe started, Morgana just passed her a glance and decided not to utter a word.
"Our parents used to tease us, they told us that we were going to end up together." She smirked but it didn't last long on her face, what she was planning wasn't working. She was trying to get on Morgana's nerves but the girl on the other side of the table wasn't reacting to what she was saying.
"I heard about your relationship, you are one lucky bitch, all it took was a one-night stand with him and you are already wearing his ring." She didn't give up, she knew that Morgana wouldn't be able to keep a straight face for long.
"I think I should try it too, get him to sleep with me and maybe I'll be able to wear his ring too."
Morgana cleaned her mouth with the table napkin and decided she had had enough of today's breakfast. She stood up and was about to leave but Phoebe didn't give her that chance, she quickly stood up and blocked her path.
"You are nothing but a mistake he committed one year ago, you are not even fit to be my rebound. Tsk tsk tsk"
"Are you done?" Morgana asked, taking her by surprise, "You see Phoebe, I am not like you, I'm not a golddigger and neither am I an opportunist bitch like you. You would have been his wife if only you didn't choose money over him." Morgana fired back, her words were sharp enough to poke Phoebe.
Phoebe launched a slap at her but Morgana was quick enough to catch hold of her hand, so she gave her a tight slap. The sound echoed around the building, and at that moment, Maxwell, who had forgotten something, walked in.
"What is going on here?" His voice boomed in the entire house, Phoebe quickly pulled her hand from Morgana's hold and burst into uncontrollable tears.
"Maxwell, I think your wife hates me." She said amidst her sobs, Morgana was left speechless, she stared at her unable to muffle a sound out of her mouth.
"I was only trying to get to know her, I asked about how you two met and she got angry, and I quickly apologised. I then asked about the baby's health, I wanted to touch her stomach but she pulled my hand away and slapped me. I don't know if I was wrong in asking her about the baby." She continued crying.
Morgana looked at Maxwell, the look in his eyes told her that he believed her, she decided to go back to her room because if she said anything, he wouldn't believe her right now. She has already fed him with enough lies.
"Morgana apologises to Phoebe right now!" He yelled,
she paused in her tracks, "Apologising to her will be the last thing I'd do." She continued her walk, Maxwell rushed to her and roughly pulled her, she almost fell but was quick to catch herself. With her hand on her stomach, she stared at him with wide glistening eyes.
... Present Time....
"Maxwell that's enough, if she doesn't want to apologise then don't force her to." Phoebe turned to Morgana who was glaring daggers at her, with a pitiful look she said, "I'm sorry if I had wronged you in any way and if my presence here makes you insecure then I'll leave."
Morgana scoffed, "You are going nowhere Phoebe, she should learn to live with you under the same roof, what are you saying about being insecure? She has no reason to be insecure because you are just my friend and things remain that way, she is my wife and will forever remain my wife."
His words felt like a jab in Phoebe's chest but she had to hold a forced smile on her face but deep down, she wanted to pull Morgana's hair.
Trevor shook his head, he walked to his sister-in-law and pulled her out of the situation. "I told you to use the second chance she gave you wisely, but I can see that you don't value it." He took her outside, and they both went to the garden.
The moment they got there, Morgana let her guard down, the tough front she had crumbled. She cried hard, Trevor held her tight, he didn't mind that her tears were staining his expensive shirt, he just held her tight.
Morgana explained everything that happened before he walked in, Trevor who knows Phoebe far too well, believed Morgana. He couldn't help but blame himself because although she was crying this hard, he couldn't tell her that his mother was behind everything. He was a coward, a hypocrite, all he could do was comfort her.
"I'm sorry," Morgana mumbled as she cleaned her eyes.
"There's nothing to be sorry about, I don't mind you staining my shirt, I'm expensive shirts are always going to be here for you to cry on." He joked, she laughed.
"Thank you, Trevor." She smiled and he smiled back, her smile was too contagious, and he couldn't resist it.
