Dr. Faulkner shook his head. "Talking about his boyfriend and the boyfriend's ex right in front of him might be fatal. Go and make reports for now. I'll handle Duke from here."
The nurses bowed and left the room as if they were just dismissed. The first nurse could tell how stiff they had become after the door closed behind them. If they were less disciplined, they would have screamed along their way out.
Duke barely opened his eyes at the silence that followed. "How long did he stay with them?"
"It's not about him staying there." Dr. Faulkner huffed as he adjusted the valves on the drips. "Your big brother is feeding us a lot of unnecessary things lately, but it's about Rowan. He reported how Rowan patched up roughly everyone after the shootout. It also seemed Clive couldn't touch him because of that son of the Bradshaw family. Then again, I don't know how much of it will stand.
