"If they get adopted together, that is." Scott reached them and sat on the other seat next to Avery. "You know that there's a small chance little girls will get picked up. You also need to remember they're not in the best appearances."
"And who's responsible for that?" Rowan glared at Scott.
Scott pursed his lips, but he didn't look away from Rowan. "Those were not my actions. What happens next is yours. Have you forgotten to think of the consequences? You don't have the option to take them for yourself, either. Stop your nonsense and leave that place."
Rowan turned to Scott. However, he couldn't spit out his disgust lest Parker and Avery would see an ugly side of him. "You want to talk about that in front of children? You're sick."
"You don't want to talk to me alone. Guess what choices I have." Scott smirked, inviting Rowan's sharp glares. However, in front of those children, he knew Rowan would keep on holding back.
