Scott eyed Levi when those words left the detective's lips. His hands balled into fists, and his lips pursed into a thin line. He would punch the detective then and there to keep it a secret, but he doubted these two were the only ones who knew.
A lot of people had already expressed intrigue toward that painting. It was obviously a threat to a particular group in the capital. As someone who knew that painting as Rowan's declaration of revenge, Scott figured it was not that hard to read. The only thing they got wrong every time… was that the painting was calling out a particular family that hated him.
No one knew that it was only Scott and Connie. Clive and the others were only implicated in the long run. Then again, Scott cared too little if more people got caught up in the storm Rowan started.
