Chapter 171 - Mine

The long night of the siege finally ended. Enemies were all disposed of, and the major damages to the outer perimeter of the sleepy city had to be fixed. Then again, with all of those mafia families chipping in—at Archie's persuasion—to fund the repairs, what was there to worry about? The people were only displaced for a bit since they needed to wait for the repairs to finish.

Rowan was once again in the kitchen of his home with Duke. He was caught spacing out as he stirred the soup while bringing it to a boil. He was thinking of what to do with George. When Clive landed in their hands, he already had a plan in place. 

He got so consumed by rage that he knew he wanted to burn Clive alive for as long as possible. Connie drowned in her sense of grandeur and self-importance, so he didn't have to wonder too much. As for George, he could think of a lot of things, but his heart still cried at the pain of losing this person. George was not awful or indifferent to him.
