A smile lifted Rowan's lips as he walked with Duke along the streets at daybreak. They were supposed to be sleeping, but Rowan wanted to see the place at night longer. After all, the city glittered more like rows of fairy lights around him with all those spaced-out lights.
Unlike Gideon City's bright nightlife and Wailing Veil's hunting hours, Fauxville boasted a sleepy city at night. People could freely walk around and see the faint cityscape from an elevation. However, only a few would dare to be out in the streets when the sun was out. That was why it felt like Rowan and Duke owned the city. There was no one else but them.
