Duke chuckled, even if it didn't seem to match the sentiment Rowan had. It was as if Duke was laughing because Rowan was being too silly again, and the painter didn't like it. However, Duke thought he would be happy to see something, despite the guilt. Rowan just pursed his lips in a thin line and walked with Duke. He just wanted to be happy that he could hold Duke's hand again.
Instead of entering the gallery, Duke led Rowan to the neighboring building. It seemed to be a manufacturing factory of some sort. However, it looked abandoned from the outside. Only when they stepped inside the supposed production floor did Rowan see what the place held for sure.
A few gallery staff were folding clothes as if they were taken out yet left unused. Some of them were also stacking flesh-colored things into boxes. The other side was where old cars stayed, the other members chatting over getting permission to take home some of these.
