Chereads / Miracle to Meet You / Chapter 16 - CHAPTER 15

Chapter 16 - CHAPTER 15

"What? Are you serious right now? "After hearing Jayden answer, Liam shouts at Jayden's face.

"So you are going to marry a girl that you just met? Asked Isaac.

"So what? What is wrong with that if I am going to marry her?"

"Bro, this is about married bro and it is about choosing someone who is going to spend the rest of their life with you..how?" Said Liam

"How can you choose to marry someone that you didn't love? "continued Isaac

"Bro, sometimes..someone that we love, hurts us the most..."

Jayden rubbed his eyebrows and continued, "Look..her situation is a little complicated and she's going through something that I don't think any of us would understand...she's hard to tell, looking fragile and tough at the same time.. ".

Hearing that from Jayden, Isaac and Liam looked at each other and remained silent.

The silence broke when Jayden's phone rang. He took his phone and answered the phone–

"Hello.."

"Hello, Mr.Walsh this is the receptionist.."

"Yes?"

"Miss Wilfred has left something at the front desk to be passed to you, are you available for the delivery at the moment?"

"Miss Wilfred? You mean Aviazela Wilfred?"

"Yes"

"Where is she now?"

"Oh, she already left sir"

"I see, bring it to me now, thank you" before he ended the call.

Three grown men gathered around the coffee table to look at and opened the lunch box.

There were an array of different cuisines. There was a box of kimbap, a box of homemade pickles, another filled with fruits and a box of rice.

There was also a post-it inside the lunch bag–written: Please forgive me!

Liam picked the Post-it "Who knows she this good..."

"Yeah bro, looking at all this though, even if you guys get married and even if you guys never fall in love, at least it won't be that terrible right?" Isaac looked at Jayden.

In the next few days, Jayden received lunch boxes from Aviazela with a different menu every day.

On the second day, it was a pot of delicious porridge.

On the third day, she brought a jar of chicken soup.

On the fourth day, there was a box of fried rice.

On the fifth day, Aviazela entered the Empire Hotel lobby with a lunch box in her hand. Just as she was about to walk to the front desk, suddenly someone grabbed her wrist–

"Zela!"

She turned to see that the person was none other than Alex Bryne. She looked at the man and their past together flashed before her eyes. A faint pang of pain ran through her heart.

"What do you want?" She asked coldly.

"Why are you here? Are you stalking me?" He narrowed his eyes in frustration.

"Why would I do that?" She forcefully jerked her arm "Let me go!"

Alex dragged her to a corner and finally let her go.

"What are you doing here?"

"I..."

"You knew I was having a business dinner here so you came here to look for me with this thing, didn't you?" Alex cut her out before she could finish her words.

"Zela..I thought that you weren't that obsessive type.." He continued.

"Since you know that I'm not the obsessive type then...why did you think I would make this for you?" Said her with a soft chuckle. "After all you are not worth hours of my time and effort anymore".

"You..." Alex gritted his teeth.

"I didn't know how to cook back then so I took cooking lessons for you and I'm pretty sure you know why. Yes, these lunch boxes are worthless but I put my heart and soul into them. Yet..." Aviazela looked into his eyes and enunciated every word "When I knew you were with Ivy, I was devastated and miserable. You guys destroyed me and didn't even leave me a place to live! So, tell me again, why would I do anything for you, my dear Alex?"

She looked deeply into him and said "Goodbye!"

Seeing she turned and left Alex grabbed her wrist "You..who are you giving the lunch boxes to?" He grabbed it and threw it to the floor. Everyone who was in the lobby was surprised by the scene.

Aviazela looked at the ground in shock and stunned, the homemade cheesecake that she wanted to send to Jayden was already ruined.

"Mr.Bryne, aren't you worried that Chairman Reece Wilfred and his daughter wouldn't be happy if they knew that you making such a scene in public.."

This voice..

Aviazela turned and saw Jayden, standing beside the pillar with both of his hands in his pockets.
