After a while, Jayden took a deep breath and decided to go back to Aviazela. As he walked out the stairway, he saw Aviazela with her wound patched, sitting on a hallway bench with her arms wrapped tightly around herself. People walked in and out but she just sat there quietly..like, an abandoned child.
Jayden walked over "Are you done?"
"Yeahh" Aviazela looked up at him.
"Where are you going after this? Should I give you a ride?"
Aviazela, shook her head. She once had her uncle's family. But now, she had no one, not even a place to live. She did not speak but he could not be bothered to care at the moment "Well then, take care, Miss Wilfred".
"Mr.Walsh, wait.."Aviazela saw that he turned to leave so she grabbed the corner of his suit. Jayden stopped and looked back at her "Yes?"
Aviazela looked into Jayden's eyes and swallowed "Are you..willing to..marry me?"
Jayden was surprised to hear that from her. Marry her? Did she lose her mind? What happened to this woman, really? How could she just ask some stranger to marry he?
"I'm sorry, I heard..your phone call.."Aviazela did not know what the person at the other end said, but she understood every word of his."I know you need someone to marry right now to satisfy your parents and to save your face".
Hearing her saying that Jayden eyes widen. A turbulent storm was brewing but there was no emotion on his face "Why would you think that I would agree to that?"
"Mr.Walsh if you are looking for an appropriate marriage partner as fast as possible I can be the one.."She and he were neither friends nor relatives. She could not think of any reason for him to help her take back what had belonged to her other than to be his wife. She knew that she would take advantage of him once he agreed, but what other choice that left? She desperately needed someone for her revenge and Jayden could be it.
Jayden looked at the woman in front of him, her face slightly flushed from embarrassment. Remembering the phone call made Jayden's heart crushed in pain. Years of effort and patience for his loved ones were a joke. What was the point for him to keep hoping? His parents were expecting a piece of good news from him. If he could not marry the girl he loves any more then what is the difference to marry anybody else that he does not love? There was nothing wrong with marrying her.
After a long pause he answered "I can marry you and you can enjoy everything that comes with being Mrs Walsh, but..I may not love you.." he said.
"Mr Walsh, you need a person to marry and I need your help to take back what's mine, I think we will be fine.." Even Alex could just throw away their 6 years of relationship like it was nothing so what was the point of expecting something like love?
