Susana felt the warmth from the hug but remained frozen.
Marlon glanced at her with a complicated expression, cold with concern.
He continued, "This is my sister, and I will take her to her injury examination."
After signing a stack of papers, he reached out to Susana.
Susana froze, unsure of what to do. Marlon bent down, took her hand, and stood up.
He stared at the noticeable red marks on Susana's neck where she had been pinched. His gaze was icy, and he asked in a low voice, "Can you walk?"
Susana's small hand felt warm in Marlon's grip.
She nodded. "Yes."
Marlon lowered his head to help her button up her suit.
Neither Susana nor Marlon spoke during the car ride to the hospital.
The atmosphere was strange.
After Susana did all the tests at the hospital, Marlon handed the results to his assistant. "Get me the best lawyer you can. I'm going to make Dominic pay."
