Yvette began to prepare dinner again.
By the time it was ready, it was almost 7 p.m.
She put the dishes on the thermostat-equipped table. The dishes should be able to be kept warm for an hour.
Yvette and Isabel sat at the table and waited for Lance to come back for dinner.
For a moment, she felt as if she had come to the past.
In the past, she had also waited at home for that man to come back for dinner.
But now, they had a baby.
Time passed by.
Isabel's stomach is already growling.
She curled her lips and said, "Mommy, when exactly will Daddy come back?"
Yvette said, "I don't know either. Wait a moment. Mommy will call and ask."
Yvette picked up his phone and called Lance.
But no one answered.
Yvette suddenly had a hunch that Lance would not come tonight.
But why?
Why didn't he tell her that he wasn't coming?
Isabel pouted, "Why didn't Daddy pick up the phone?"
