After the briefing, the divine students were all dismissed back to their classes. Bea was in deep thought as she walked alongside Ed.
"What...what did they mean by the fingerprint was a match?" She asked.
"You--you had nothing to do with Ranella's accident, right?" Ed asked and Bea turned to him in disbelief.
"Are you serious Ed? Why would I hurt my best friend, she has done a lot for me in this lifetime, I can't believe you're asking me this question!" Bea said with a scoff, walking ahead with her arms crossed against each other.
"Look, I'm sorry Bea, the truth is I don't know what to believe anymore, things have been a f*cking mess these past months, I don't know what to think anymore," Edward said, walking behind Beatrice.
"I understand Ed, I'm confused too, but I don't see why you'll reckon something like that," Bea said, halting in her tracks and turning to Edward who was fondling the back of his neck.
