Chapter 39 - 39_You're pretty

************************

Ranella woke up with a head-piercing migraine, she sat up on her bed, massaging her temples as the sun streamed in through her glass wall and into her room.

At least now she knew one thing that wasn't good for her, it was drinking.

Ranella ran her fingers through her hair, got down from the bed, and walked downstairs to the kitchen to get something to drink.

She opened the fridge and took out a glass of juice and gulped down, closing the fridge, she almost spilled the milk seeing Cherry's face pop out of nowhere and looking at her with a grin.

"Hey sis, the best sis ever, my bloodline, my..."

"...What do you want Cherry, spit it out," Ranella said with a sigh, she knew about Cherry's attempt to flatter her whenever she needed something.

"There's this boy," Cherry said.

"Boy? Aren't you a little too young for boys?" She asked.

"Am fifteen, do you want me to become a nun instead?" Cherry said with a serious gaze and she sighed.

"What's with the boy?" She asked.

"He asked me out on a date, and he's so cute," Cherry said.

"Good for you, now bye," She said and attempted to leave but Cherry was quick to grab her hand.

"Please, pretty please, I want it to be a double date, so could you bring your boyfriend along?" Cherry asked and Ranella's eyes widened, pulling away from Cherry's grip.

"Wh--What?!" Ranella stuttered.

"I don't have a boyfriend," She said again.

"Hmm hmm, you are the hottest babe in school right now, I heard the two popular boys are friends with you, Liam and Alex," Cherry said.

"Yeah Friends, not lovers," Ranella said and wanted to leave again but Cherry ran and stood in front of her, blocking her part.

"Please, it'll be a great opportunity if you like any of them, you could tell them how you feel or better still bring the both of them," Cherry said with a grin.

"Think about it," The little girl said and ran off, leaving Ranella's mind in turmoil.

Ranella got ready for school and went using her bicycle, she was in no mood to ride in the same car with Cherry or the girl would keep pestering her about that stupid date.

When did she know about dates, talkless of double dates, what a bummer, even a teen like her has never been on a date before, who would go on a date with someone like her unless they wanted to be embarrassed?

When Ranella got to the bicycle parking, she removed her helmet and arranged her uniform. On her way inside the building she bumped into someone and they both fell with the girl's hand on hers.

The girl's eyes dilated and she looked like she was in a trance for a short moment. She had short black hair with bangs and she was wearing an oversized gown, she was pretty but also looked like a loner.

The girl withdrew her hand and flashed a smile.

"You are pretty, but to bring it out you will face a terrible accident," The girl said and hastily stood up, running to the building.

She got up and ran after her but she was too fast, she wondered what that was about, but now she made her curious. She got to the hall, but there was no sign of her anywhere.

"What does she mean?" She asked herself.

"Hey Ranella hurry, we'll be late for class," Bea said running towards her and dragging her along to class.

They got to class and thankfully the teacher wasn't there yet, it was all thanks to Bea.

In a short while, the teacher came in and they greeted him. Ranella's eyes wandered away from the teacher and through the classroom, searching for someone.

There he was, Her heart instantly calmed down a bit after seeing his marvelous blonde hair. Liam was focused on the teacher, he seemed pretty focused nowadays and getting higher grades.

Ranella sighed, resting her head on her hand, and looking at Liam. The teacher started with his lectures, and it was the first time Ranella didn't pay attention in class and instead looked at a boy until the class ended.

The bell rang, causing Ranella to jolt back to her senses.

"What?" She asked, looking for the teacher but he was nowhere to be seen.

"Class has ended, weren't you paying attention," Bea said and Ranella blinked twice.

Oh no, she had been staring at Liam for an hour but it seemed like minutes, what was happening to her? She didn't even get a word the teacher said. Oh no, this is bad. Liam is a bad influence on her.

"Hey Ranella, ready for our next class," She heard Liam's voice, causing her to jolt and bite her lower lip seductively.

Liam leaned in closer to her, holding both the desk and the chair, her heartbeat picked up its pace as she stared at those perfect blue eyes.

"If you keep biting your lip that way, I will be sure to do it for you," Liam said causing her to gulp down and blink twice.

Why does it sound so familiar, where did she hear these exact words? Yes, her dream, the time Liam appeared in her dreams and did some intimate things with her.

Ranella's eyes widened and she jumped up, hitting her head on Liam's own, causing her to fall back down on the chair while Liam winced in pain, both of them rubbing their heads.

"I--I'm sorry," She apologized for her clumsiness.

"It's okay, are you hurt?" Liam asked with genuine concern, touching her head to get a better look.

Ranella's heartbeat accelerated again, why was her heart reacting this way, was she desperate for love that if anyone showed concern she'd start feeling this way?

She looked around the class but it was empty, all of the divine students went out as soon as the bell sounded.

Liam pulled away, outstretching his hand, Ranella put her hand in his and he helped her up.

"Let's go," He said, flashing a smile.

They went to the library and as usual, only a few students were there, they sat at their regular spot and began with the teachings.

This time Liam was paying full attention and she was the one glancing at Liam now and then.

When they were done, Liam called Ranella but she seemed lost in her thoughts just staring at him.

"Ranella?!" He increased his voice and Ranella snapped back to her senses.

"Hmm?"

"What were you thinking about that got you so lost?" Liam asked with a smile.

"You," She responded and Liam's brows creased.

"I--I hope you pass the upcoming test," Ranella said, changing the awkward situation.

"May I ask, how are you so great at singing?" Liam asked in awe. He couldn't get the song she sang at the Karaoke out of his head and sometimes he'd catch himself smiling.

"My Father said my mother was a great singer, maybe I inherited her voice," Ranella said.

"Sorry about your mother," Liam said.

"How about you, I haven't seen your mom before?" Ranella asked and Liam went silent, clenching his jaws tightly, he hated to be reminded of his mother.

"Excuse me," He said, abruptly standing up and walking away, causing Ranella to wonder if she said something wrong
